Park Joon Mo is a police officer. He is married to Yoo Eui Jung, who is also a police officer. For investigating a drug dealer, he was ordered to join the Gangnam Union gang as an undercover agent. His task was to find their drug cartel. Eui Jung was also involved in the same case. Jung Gi Cheul is the leader of the Gangnam Union; they are the dealers of drugs.

Park Joon Mo is a police officer in the countryside. After joining the Gangnam Union gang as an undercover agent, he changed his name to Kwon Seung Ho.

Undercover Agent:
Park Joon Mo is an honest police officer, but because his father is a drug addict, that comes in between his promotions. Higher authorities are not promoting him; his wife and his brother-in-law are also prosecutors. His brother-in-law and father-in-law always look down on him. One day he got an opportunity to join the drug dealer gang as an undercover. First, he denied the offer, but Cho Chang Sik told him if he completed his mission successfully, then they would promote him.
Mission:
As an undercover agent, his task was to find out about Gangnam Union’s illegal drug trade among Korea, China, and Japan. They also knew that it was not an easy task, and that’s why Seok Do Hyung recommended Joon Mo’s name. Do Hyung is the chief detective of the anti-narcotics department. Now Joon Mo has become Kwon Seung Ho. To know the truth, Seung Ho has to win Gi Cheul’s trust. Seung Ho hasn’t informed his wife or anyone else about his secret task.
Love Triangle:
Gi Cheul finds out that Seung Ho met Eui Jeong. Eui Jeong was his first love, and after so many years, he found her. Now Gi Cheul doubts if he met Eui Jeong to pass their information. When the team found out that they sought Eui Jeong’s help to save Seung Ho. Seung Ho also found out that the locket his wife has kept so well was given by Gi Cheul. The tense leads to a love triangle. Seung Ho was trying to earn Gi Cheul’s trust but he was anxious to see how Gi Cheul was making a move toward Eui Jeong. And the worst is that he is taking the help of Seung Ho to make a move toward Eui Jeong.

The Worst of Evil is one of the best Korean dramas of 2023. The actors did a brilliant job; not everyone liked the ending, but the storyline was very intense. It is the story of a police officer who became an undercover agent, but after being there for so many days, his emotions also changed, and his personal as well as professional life became messed up. You will feel sad for both Park Joon Mo and Gi Cheul. Gi Cheul was betrayed by the people whom he trusted the most. This drama is more realistic than other rom-com dramas; it gives you a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I highly recommend this drama to everyone.
