Han Tae Sul (Cho Seung Woo) is an engineer and the co-founder of Quantum and Time Company. 10 years ago he lost his older brother Han Tae San (Heo Jun Seok). One day he found out the shocking truth about his brother’s death and his dangerous journey begins after that. Whereas Kang Seo Hae (Park Shin Hye) is an elite warrior who travels back in time to help Tae Sul.

Time Travel:
Sisyphus: The Myth Korean drama starts with Seo Hae’s father giving instructions to her father about what she has to do and don’ts in the world where she is going to. Seo Hae is going to the present time from the future. Her father tells her to run away, not to trust anyone, and stay away from Hn Tae Sul. After she reaches the present time Control Bureau’s men are trying to capture her but she was successful in running away from them. Seo Hae meets Jae Sun (Chae Jong Hyeop) who is a part-timer in a Chinese restaurant. He helps her but in return, he wants the lucky draw number. Again Contol Bureau’s men find her location but she again managed to escape from there.
Mysterious Incident:
Han Tae Sul is traveling in a plane. Suddenly the Plane crashes into something and one senior pilot dies. But Tae Sul saves the plane from crashing through his great engineering skills. After his brother’s death, Tae Sul frequently sees his dead brother and that made him depend on drugs. He wants to know the cause of the plane crash and after the investigation, he finds out that the plane crash not by a bird but by the man who was resembling his dead brother. He found a mysterious suitcase and his brother’s camera where the photos are from the future and after that incident, his life totally changed.
Mission:
Seo Hae is an elite warrior who came from the future where are only a few people left and they are fighting with each other for survival. She is a sharpshooter as well as good at fighting. She has learned all these skills from her father for survival in a world that is dominated by gangsters and the military. Her only mission is to change the past at any cost along with that to protect Tae Sul. She was desperately want to save the world and his family from the nuclear war. After encountering Tae Sul she keeps following him and protecting him from the Control Bureau. Seo Hae and Tae Sul try to save the world many times but they fail every time.
Control Bureau:
Control Bureau is a group of people who are after illegal future immigrants. Whenever the control bureau finds any illegal future immigrants they put them in jail. Even though Han Tae Sul is not an illegal future immigrant and they are still after him. At the starting of the drama, I thought they might be good and they are actually with sigma whom Tae Sul was desperately searching.
Sigma:
Sigma is a mysterious character and a leader of the advanced team. He has manipulated the past for his own favor and greed. In his childhood, he was abused by his father and he killed his own father at a younger age with a scientific formula that he learned from Tae Sul. He is the formal classmate of Tae Sul. Everyone bullies him in school so he developed loneliness and everyone stares at him suspiciously due to which he wants to destroy the world.
Overall Thoughts On Sisyphus: The Myth Korean Drama
Sisyphus: The Myth Korean drama viewership rating is very high and drama is at a great start. The story is very unique in itself. I have seen Cho Seung Woo in Stranger 1 and Stranger 2 Korean drama where he was very serious and totally different from his current character. Back to drama one thing I want to know that when her father clearly told her to stay away from Tae Sul then why she is looking for him? I have so many doubts and questions already like why did the brothers fight? What happened to them? Why did Seo Hae come from the future to the present?
In the end, they didn’t even tell that why Han Tae Sul was going to build the uploader? Sisyphus: The Myth Korean drama is a bit confusing but not boring and if you don’t like sci-fi drama that I suggest you not watch this K-drama. Apart from that I really like all the fighting scenes from the drama. Park Shik once again nailed the fighting scene. The drama is a combo of a badass female lead and a genius male lead. I have high expectations from this Korean drama but it was not that good.
