How would you feel if someone ask you to join military training when you are in high school? How would you feel if you are out for an activity but there is a dead body all around? Strange right !!! How would you feel when your friends and teachers die in front of you? How would you feel when elders were ready to give up on you just to save them? Miserable right!!!

Duty After School Korean drama is about high school students who are in the last year of their school and preparing for college admission but due to alien attacks, they have to join the army and fight against the unknown creature.

Main Characters:

Shin Hyun-soo as Lee Chun-ho

He is a Lieutenant and platoon commander of Class 3-2 who has good skills in his field. He seems to be tough but kind and cares about a kid more than anyone else.

Lee Soon-won as Kim Won-bin

He is a sergeant and in the same team as Lee Chun-ho. He is funny, and looks elder than his age but very faithful to Lee Chun-ho.

It was a normal day in school where some students are fighting, some are busy studying, some are playing, and some are giving hard time to there teachers.

These are the aliens in a sphere shape floating in the sky for the last two years but don’t cause any problems but suddenly one of them fall on earth and ruined a whole field of peas. The military tried to shoot that ball but one single sphere has many small creatures that can kill anyone and cut them in half. All the person who was there died only Lee Chun-ho survived. They reacted to sound and were weak against the cold.

Solution:

The military has fewer head counts so higher-ups decided that last year school students should get trained to kill them. So now kids have to study during school hours and then they have to train, but they are unaware of the circumstances and the reason why they are getting training.

Sphere in School:

One of the spheres hit the school building and the gym was all ruined one of the students was eaten by the sphere Kim Chi-yeol (Kim Ki-hae ) and Kwon Il-ha (Kim Su-gyeom) witnessed that. Later they were asked to keep it secret from other students so that they won’t panic.

Shooting Day

It was the day when they are going to shoot the refile and they enjoyed the training. But when they are coming back they saw a dead body all around their teacher also died. They run to save their life and Lee Chun-ho was able to save every one of them except his teammates and their teacher. Now they have to train harder but they were making plans to leave the school and go home all there planning to go to Vien because their parents were already shifted to shelters by the government.

Going to Base Camp:

Till now school was the safest place for kids but spheres has attacked the school now they moving them to a military base camp but going out from there wasn’t easy they lost a few of their friends and after fighting, and struggling they reached the base camp. After reaching their higher-ups order them to run an operation to kill spheres of a particular area. Lee Chun-ho was against sending kids for operation but complex to do so. He promised the kids that he will keep them safe.

They make a plan to lure the sphere into a building and set up bombs all over the building so that they can be killed together. Everything was going according to plan because they are attacking a shelter but they lure them to the building everyone was out of the building except Lee Chun-ho he tried hard to get out of there but couldn’t so he gave orders to explosion.

Overall Thoughts on Duty After School Korean Drama

If you like dramas like All of us are dead, Squid Game, or movies like Train to Busan than you will like this drama as well. This drama has thriller, fantasy, comedy, and action. Overall it is a good watch. Lesson you can take from this drama is stay together stay strong, teamwork always pays off.
