Tale Of The Nine-Tailed is the story of the mountain spirit of Baekdudaegan. Lee Yeon sacrificed his life of mountain spirit to revive the life of his lover Ah Eum. Hundred years passed and he is still waiting for his lover. Meanwhile, Ji Ah works as a PD of documentaries. While working on a mission, Yeon and Ji Ah meet. Ji Ah resembles Ah Eum that’s why she was saved by Yeon in a car accident when she was a child. In that accident, her parents die although their bodies were not found. Ji Ah believes her parents are still alive.

Lee Dong Wook as Lee Yeon
Lee Yeon is a nine-tailed fox. He is a former mountain spirit and guardian of Baekdudaegan. He is the lover of Ah Eum and the brother of Lee Rang.
Jo Bo Ah as Nam Ji Ah / Ah Eum
Ji Ah is a smart producer at TVC Station, a broadcasting company. She is desperately finding her parents for more than 20 years. She is the reincarnation of Ah Eum who was Lee Yeon’s past lover.
Kim Bum as Lee Rang
Lee Rang is a half-blood gumiho and Lee Yeon’s younger half-brother. Deep inside, he is hiding his caring nature and long-time grudge for his brother.
Highlights of Tale Of The Nine-Tailed Korean Drama
Tragic Love Story of Gumiho:
Yeon is a mountain spirit of Baekdudaegan. One day he meets a girl name A Eum and falls in love with her. A Eum is the daughter of a king and wants to kill her father. She loves Yeon and wants to protect him. Imoogi was inside Ah Eum’s father’s body and he wants the body of Yeon to love the longer and wants to control over the world. Ah Eum, offer her body to Imoogi so that her father can be safe. While Imoogi is inside her, he wants to kill Yeon but Ah Eum doesn’t want that and she losing her control over her body and trying to kill Yeon. She tells Yeon to kill her. Yeon gives the fox bead to her as her mark when she is reborn again. Their ill-fated love story ends in a tragic way.
Lost Parents:
Nam Ji Ah lost her parents in a car accident, and Yeon saves her because she resembles her past love A Eum. In that tragic accident, her parent’s bodies were not founded. Although, she still believes that her parents are alive and she is trying her best to find them. After 20 years, she remembers a man who saved her in a car accident. Ji Ah believes that he is the only lead to find her lost parents.
Bromance:
The Tale of The Nine-Tailed Korean drama is not the story about Ji Ah and Yeon but the bromance of Lee Yeo and Lee Rang is enjoyable. Rang loves his brother but due to some misunderstanding he starts hating him and he developed a deep grudge against his brother for choosing Ah Eum over him. He wants to take revenge on him and always bother his Hyung. Later, he also clears his misunderstanding Rang thought that like his mother, his brother also abandoned him. Although Yeon always told him that he never abandon him.
Lee Yeon and Ji Ah Love Story:
After hundred years Ah Eum reincarnated as Ji Ah. Even after so many decades, their problems are the same. When their story start grows a little bit Imoogi appears in front of them. Whenever Ji Ah is not dangerous Lee Yeon always protects her. He lost her earlier, so this time he wants to protect her. They both found a way to kill Imoogi so they both can protect each other.
Imoogi:
One piece of Imoogi is inside Ji Ah’s body and he was trying to control her body. He has only one motive and that is to take Yeon’s body. Imoogi is killing many people, he is killing people unnecessarily. Ji Ah broadcast company president Hae Ryong is helping Imoogi in every way because Imoogi also helped him in longing for his life.
Characters to Root For:
There are so many characters which I liked in Tale of The Nine-Tailed Korean drama.
Kim Soo Oh (Jung Shi Yool) is a little kid and he is Geomdoong reincarnate, a dog of Lee Rang. His step-father beats him and his mother runs away with a man. Lee Rang saves Geomdoong from his father and now he lives with him.
Ki Yoo Ri (Kim Yong Ji) is a fox who was saved by Rang. When she was in the zoo her zoo owner beats her and Rang save her. For that day she lives with Lee Rang. Gu Shin Joo (Hwang Hee) is a friend of Yeon and he like Yoo Ri. If I didn’t watch Tale Of The Nine-Tailed, I keep thinking that Yoo Ri and Rang are couples. I like Shin Joo but Yoo Ri and Lee Rang look better together.
Pyo Jae Hwan (Kim Kang Min) and Kim Sae Rom (Jung Yi Seo) are the only friends of Ji Ah. They both also friend with her in their past life.
Overall Thoughts on Tale Of The Nine-Tailed Korean Drama:
Overall, I greatly enjoyed the Tale of the Nine-Tailed. This drama is a great mixture of fantasy, thriller, romance, and mystery. I really enjoy watching the Tale of The Nine-Tailed Korean drama. Every episode is enjoyable although in the last few episodes I truly guessing the story but never bored of any episodes. Evey characters play their role perfectly.
One of the best bromances of 2020 is in Tale of The Nine-Tailed Korean drama. If you are a fan of Kim Bum then you should not skip this amazing drama. I cried in the last episode all because of Kim Bum when he finally finds the happiness and family director kill his character.
