The Veil Korean drama is the story of a NIS agent who went missing for 1 year. Han Ji Hyuk (Namkoong Min) is a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent. He was missing for 1 year but suddenly he come back from nowhere. Ji Hyuk was admired by his peers because of his perfect record and skill in every project.
Main Characters:
Nam Goong Min as Han Ji Hyuk
Han Ji Hyun is a NIS agent. He is best as a field agent and his colleagues also admire him because of his excellent record and perfect performance in every project.
Park Ha Sun as Seo Soo Yeon
Seo Soo Yeon is the head of the Criminal Information Integration Center, she is also the coworker of Ji-hyuk. Now she hates him.
Kim Ji Eun as Yoo Je Yi
Yoo Je Yi is the new partner of Ji Hyuk. She was graduated from KAIST and volunteered herself for the field task. Before that, she was in the investigation and analysis team.

Memory Loss:
Han Ji Hyunk (Nam Goong Min) is a missing NIS agent who is coming back to his country after 1 year. He was a top field agent. In a project, he went to an operation with his two colleagues but they went missing and were presumed dead. Ji Hyuk is psychologically and physically damaged, he has been given ZIP or Zet-IP drug to erase his memory and he has no idea about what happened to him within those one year. After returning back people around are unhappy with that because they are hiding their own secrets. Everyone wants to know about those missing memories and what happened during his last operation.
Mystery:
The mystery behind the death of his two team partners was known and Ji Hyunk was trying very hard to recall what really happened with them in China. Who killed his partners? Who shared their secret location? Because of his intelligence, he finds out a locker where he finds a USB drive and watches a video of himself. He filmed the video for his future self as a message that there’s a rat at the agency and that he must uncover who it is. And the most shocking part was he erased his own memories so that his future self will be able to solve and find the real rat. And he also warns not to trust anyone.
Investigation:
After watching the video Ji Hyuk decide to find out the real rat who killed his partners and Director Choi. Ji Hyuk was transferred to the NIS field support team and his new partner is Yoo Je Yi. He was completely ignoring her and barely making eye contact with her on the other hand she was chasing him everywhere I’m sure promptly he will see her value and they will start working as a team. Meanwhile, Je Yi also investigated Director Choi’s death. His death was converted into suicide and she knew that he will never kill himself. She was trying to solve his death mystery.
Team-up:
While Je Yi was investigating her father’s missing case she came to know about Ji Hyuk so she tries to approach him for investigation. She knows that he will be very useful for finding the truth. Je Yi is also very good at her work so she was very helpful for Ji Hyuk. The situation gets worse when Soo Yeon was shot by a gun and Ji Hyuk was the prime suspect. CCTV footage also shows that Ji Hyuk himself drew the gun and shot Soo Yeon. Ji Hyuk was on the backfoot when Je Yi ditch him by giving the wrong intel and messed up with the original CCTV footage. However, later they came back again together and resolve their misunderstandings.
Overall Thoughts on The Veil Korean Drama:
The Veil Korean drama must be one of the best Korean dramas of 2021 full of mystery, suspense, and thriller. The story is well written and there are so many twists and suspense that will make you stick with the drama. Nam Goong Min is one of my favorite actors he is such a versatile actor who can fit in any role be it comedy or suspense. You can also watch this K-drama on Netflix. Highly recommend this K-drama if you are into action and suspense.
