Sweet Home Korean drama is a short horror thriller drama. Cha Hyun Su is a high school student. He moves into a Green Home Mansion, Apartment after the whole family dies in a tragic car accident and he is left all alone. Song Kang as Cha Hyun Soo
Hyun Soo is a high-school student who moves into Green Home after his family dies in a car accident. He wants to commit suicide.
Lee Jin Wook as Pyeon Sang Wook
Sang Wook is a mysterious man and everyone misunderstood him as a gangster. He is a former detective and has a scar on his face.
Lee Shi Young as Seo Yi Kyung
Seo Yi Kyung is a former firefighter from the special force unit. Her fiancé disappeared two days before the wedding.
Park Gyu Young as Yoon Ji Su
Ji Su plays the bass and she moves to Green Home after her boyfriend suicide.
Lee Do Hyun as Lee Eun Hyuk

Highlights of Sweet Home Korean Drama
Deadly Monters:
When everything is running smoothly, suddenly monsters appear from nowhere and they start killing humans. Whoever they saw in front of them, they kill them. They are coming in different forms, but their intention is the same to suck humans for food. One monster has a long tongue, and he can kill from the distance. There is a blind monster but his hearing power is incredible. Another monster has amazing speed.
Leadership:
Eun Hyuk is the brain of Green Home. His intelligence and fast decision-making process help many residences to survive during the whole battle. Eun Hyuk’s leadership skill helps in all basic supplies to be shared with each other. Because of him all food and water are equally divided into everyone. Whenever there is a shortage of anything, then he quickly makes a plan. He makes the plan with Yi Kyung and Du Sik so that other people didn’t panic in that horrible situation. In the Green Home apartment, many people are old, young kids, women, but still they are surviving the battle because of Eun Hyuk.
Battle To Survive:
During this most difficult situation, the real battle is to survive and it is all a mind game. Those who pass this battle will survive those who fail they died. People are infecting and they are suddenly turning into monsters. People who are filled with negative emotions are more likely to completely transform into monsters. Throughout the whole battle, the main goal is to survive not only from the monsters, but also from food, water, and electricity. In the starting, they really don’t to anyone but slowly they start coming close to each other.
Infected People:
People are infecting and they are suddenly experiencing the symptoms of nose bleeding, aggressive behavior, and sudden change in their behavior. Those who are suffering from these symptoms, quarantine themselves from others. Eun Hyuk makes a separate quarantine room for the “infectees” so that other people cannot be infected.
Special Infectees
There are few people who are Special Infectees, and they are those people who have exhibited symptoms of becoming a monster but somehow managed to resist their metamorphosis. Hyun Soo is one of those who hold out for his transformation into the monster. He helps Eun Hyuk in many ways, Hyun Soo is the one who was doing all the difficult task for them.
Hyun Soo is doing all the errands for the Green Home apartment people without hesitations even though he knows he can be killed by the monsters.
Mystery Behind Monster:
Yi Kyung finds out that the government has secretly done the experiment. They have selected a group of people and doing all the experiments secretly. The main aim of the study is to create ‘Monsterized Humans’. Yi Kyung is desperately searching for her fiancé who has been disappeared into the thin air just before the two days of his wedding.
Tragic Ending:
The ending of the drama really hurts me a lot, I literally cry. With the help of Gil Seop (Kim Gab Soo) finds the route of the tunnel but he suddenly died. Eun Hyuk also experiencing the symptoms of becoming a monster. The building starts collapsing and Eun Hyuk is sitting there while holding his younger sister’s thing. Meanwhile, the group was able to find their way out of Green Home.
Transformation of Characters:
Sang Wook changes his gangster image and later he starts working in a group. He is cold-hearted from the outside but very warm from the inside. His past is full of sadness and in the end, his character changes so much. Later he died while saving Park Yu Ri (Go Young Jung).
Gil Seop (Kim Gap Soo) is a terminally ill patient and he is not afraid of dying. And he is the one who finds the tunnel to escape from the Green Home Apartment.
Jung Jae Heon (Kim Nam Hee) is a Korean Language teacher and a religious Christian. He keeps his sword to defend himself and protect others. He fights with the monsters until his last breath. I way Jae Heon dies is really heartbreaking and sad.
Lee Eun Yoo also a selfish teenager but later she changes her image. She is straightforward and doesn’t afraid of giving help to the one who needs it. In the ending, her relationship with her brother also improve.
Han Du Sik (Kim Sang Ho), despite his physical limitations, was able to give help in the fight with monsters by making weapons.
Overall Thoughts on Sweet Home Korean Drama:
I have binge watch Sweet Home Korean drama because every episode is addictive and I was not able to control myself from watching the episodes. I know many of you can relate to me right? If you are someone who hasn’t watched the webtoon series then you will definitely enjoy the whole series. I have heard that people who have watched webtoon didn’t like the series as much as those who haven’t.
Some of the scenes of Sweet Home Korean drama are funny like when the Green Home survivors are asking Hyun Soo to bring their things from their room. Hyun Soo brings the essential things from their room.
Sweet Home Korean drama is not a romantic Korean drama but there are still some couples whom I’m rooting for like Sang Wook and Park Yu Ri, Ji Su and Jae Heon. I really felt sorry for Ji Su because her first boyfriend committed suicide and now after Jae Heon confess his feeling to Ji Su he is no more. San Wook and Park Yu Ri didn’t even get the chance to confess their feeling.
The ending of Sweet Home Korean drama is a bit confusing and there may be chances that Season 2 of the Sweet Home Korean drama. Sang Wook (who was died with Yu Ri in military gear) suddenly shows alive and escorting Hyun Soo. The question is how Sang Wook alive in the truck?
