A few Green Home Mansion apartments survived and moved out of their house to stay with other survivors. The soldiers have taken control and they are responsible for bringing food. They were fighting against monsters and trying their best to survive. Survivals who have shown symptoms were quarantined for others’ safety.
Main Characters:
Song Kang as Cha Hyun Soo
Hyun Soo moves into Green Home after his family dies in a car accident. He wants to commit suicide but becomes a monster-human and gains superhuman abilities.
Lee Jin Wook as Pyeon Sang Wook
Sang Wook is a mysterious man and everyone misunderstood him as a gangster. Jung Ui Myeong killed him and after that, he took his body and now Ui Myeong has taken full control over Sang Wook’s body.
Lee Si Young as Seo Yi Kyung
Seo Yi Kyung is a former firefighter from the special force unit. Her fiancé disappeared two days before the wedding and she wanted to search for him everywhere.
Go Min Shi as Lee Eun Yoo
Lee Eun Yoo is the younger sister of Lee Hyuk. She is a former ballerina. Eun Yoo is very straightforward and she talks whatever she wants. She was deeply hurt after his brother’s death and searched for him everywhere.
Highlights of Sweet Home 2 Korean Drama
Quarantines For Infected:
Soldiers have taken control and they were monitoring the situation. Green Home Mansion survivors also moved from there and only a few were left, they were trying to survive. Hyun Soo was also left alone and when he woke up he found out that Sang Wook was driving but inside his body, Jung Ui Myeong had taken control. Lee Eun Yoo wanted to find out if his brother was dead or still alive in the form of a monster, even if he became a monster she was okay with that. She finds Eun Hyeok’s letter where he mentioned the name of injected and his name was also mentioned in that list.
Experiment on Monsters:
When the world was collapsing few corrupted high authorities were experimenting with mosters for vaccines and Dr. Lim was doing all that experimenting. Hyun Soo was also tied up there and during that experiment, he found out that he had a special power where he could affect other monsters. Meanwhile, Yi Kyung was also finding her fiancé and discovered shocking news.
New Shelter:
Everyone was moving to the new shelter but high authorities had different plans. When the high authority demanded vaccines, Dr. Lim was not ready to give them so they decided to destroy the New Shelter and kill all the survivors. In that process, Ji Su lost her life. In the new shelter, every night soldiers do roll calls and check if anyone showing the monster’s symptoms.
Overall Thoughts on Sweet Home 2 Korean Drama:
In season 2 director introduced new characters so many of us have mixed feelings. Song Kang, Lee Si Young, and Lee Jin Wook are the main characters but they barely have the screen time as most of the screen time is given to new characters who don’t know what is the point of season 2. Sweet Home Season 1 was great so viewers have very high expectations from Season 2 but they somehow disappoint us. The story wasn’t interesting, now let’s hope for season 3. Lee Do Hyun will be in season 3.
