Cho Yeo Hwa (Lee Ha Nee) is a widow and lives at her in-law’s house. She belongs to a noble family and barely gets to walk outside. Meanwhile, at night she secretly jumps over the walls and takes care of needy people. She has been searching for her older brother for the last 15 years. Park Soo Ho (Lee Jong Won) is a young and handsome military officer who is intelligent and does his job right honestly.

Lee Ha Nee as Cho Yeo Hwa
Yeo Hwa has been a widow for 15 years and is living a double life. In the day she was living as a devoted widow but at night she wore a black mask and helped those who were in need. She has learned martial arts for her brother.

Soo Ho is a righteous military officer, he is handsome and intelligent among other officers.
Lee Ki Woo as Park Yoon Hak
Yoon Hak is the older brother of Soo Ho. He directly serves the king and is a third-ranking royal secretary. Yoon Hak is a trusted man of the king.
Kim Sang Joong as Seok Ji Seong
Seok Ji Seong is the left state councilor and a father-in-law of Yeo-hwa. He is hungry for power and has been controlling the king in every decision.
Highlights of Knight Flower Korean Drama
Masked Man:
Yeo Hwa was living her life as a widow for 15 years she lost her husband on her wedding night so she couldn’t see his face. As a widow, she can’t leave her home, has to mourn her late husband every day, and only has to eat one meal of the day. Though her life was thought at night she sneaks out secretly to help the people who are in trouble and suffering because of noblemen. The masked man became a topic and everyone called him a hero, no one knows the face behind the masked man. She disguised herself as a man to hide her real identity.
Legendary Hero:
Yeo Hwa does not meet many people so she is surrounded by only a few and one of them is Ggotnim. Ggotnim’s father is a gambler and when he is not able to pay back his debts so Pil Merchant Inn’s goon takes her to their Inn. When Yeo Hwa heard that news she decided to save her whom she adores. Officer Park was also in the Inn and when she saw Ggotnim there he was trying to take her by force. Yeo Hwa saw that Soo Ho was forcefully taking her and she thought Pil Inn had sold her to Officer Park. She has covered her face to hide her identity and is successful in saving Ggotnim.
Tiger Painting:
For the Minister of Finance, Yeom Heung Jib’s tiger painting was very precious and mistakenly one of his servants dropped a few drops of water on it after that Heung Jib was very angry and told his other servant to beat him to death. When Yeo Hwa hears that news she decides to help the old man by delivering food not only that but she also replaces Heung Jib’s tiger painting with the funny painting. Heung Jib tol Soo Ho to find his precious painting and he also finds out that Kang Pil Jik is also searching for the painting.
Warning:
Officer Park knows the real identity of a masked man so he decides to go to Myungdo Inn to give a warning. He told Jang So Woon who is the head of Myungdo Inn to pass the warning to the masked man to stay out of his sight and put the tiger painting in his place and somehow she agreed to give back the tiger painting. He knows her true identity so tries to protect her because of her reckless behavior. Meanwhile, Yoo Hwa’s mother-in-law and some high officials’ wives get the invitation to attend a relief and help the poor people by providing rations.
Children Kidnaps:
During a relief camp, Yoo Hwa comes to know that children were kidnapped, and she finds out that Pil Jik is the one behind all the kidnappings. Pil Jik was doing human trafficking and some powerful person was supporting him. Yoo Hwa and Officer Park were trying their best to find the hidden place where Pil Jik’s goon was keeping the kids. Somehow they manage to rescue the kids and Yoo Hwa takes the kids to send them to a safer place as she wants to protect them from Pil Jik’s goon.
Secret of Former King’s Death:
Crown Prince Yi So became the king after the death of his father. Royal Physician and left state councilor Seok Ji Seong told him that the king died because of a disease but Crown Prince Yi So believed that someone had given poison to his father because he had spotted purple marks inside his mouth. For the past 15 years, he was finding the evidence with the help of royal secretary Park Yeo Hak and he believed that Seok Ji Seong was behind the king’s deaths. Now Yeo Hwa and Officer Soo Ho are also part of their secret mission as they have also lost their family because of left state councilor Seok Ji Seong.
Overall Thoughts on Knight Flower Korean Drama:
Knight Flower is a short Korean drama full of comedy and mystery. I was in a dilemma to give this drama a try or not but happy that I did. It is the story of a woman Yoo Hwa who is forced to marry in a noble family but she lost her husband before her wedding night. She was in the marriage for 15 years, her life was full of sadness. First, she lost her older brother and patiently waited for his arrival, she is lonely and sad. After all the sadness she still tries to help others and every night she jumps over the wall and during the day she fulfills her widow responsibilities. I feel the chemistry between the leads was okay though they played their character perfectly only the romantic plot was off.
