Jung Soo In is a young woman who works in a supermarket. She becomes a parasite victim when a killer stabs her as her body is wounded so the parasite is not able to take over her brain.

Koo Kyo Hwan as Seol Kang Woo

Seol Kang Woo is a gangster and now chasing parasites to find his missing young sister.

Lee Jung Hyun as Choi Joon Kyung

Choi Joon Kyung is the team captain of the “Grey Team” who wants to eliminate parasites.

Uninvited Creatures:

Jung Soo In is a normal young woman who works hard for a living as an employee of a supermarket. She encountered a rude employee who was ordering her but politely responded but his ego hurt. After her shift was over he followed her to kill, her entire body was covered with wounds and even after stabbing her so many times, he didn’t stop. Meanwhile, mysterious parasites were falling from the sky and popping up all over Korea, one entered Soo In’s body but her body was injured parasite decided to heal her body first. Soo In’s killer was approving her again to kill but the parasite killed him.

Team Grey:

Tean Grey wants to eliminate parasites so they call the police and inform them of the situation. Parasites have already finished synchronizing with human hosts. Parasites enter the human body through the ear, nose, or mouth, they then take over the brain. They consume the brain. Once the parasites complete their mutation, they follow their instincts and try to eat humans. They can change their head into anything. Once synchronized, the parasite completely takes over the human brain, and the human consciousness is also entirely absorbed by the parasites, they are no longer human but become a source of nourishment to the parasites.

Mutant:

Soo In is a mutant when a parasite entire in her body to eat her brain and parasitized her body, then she realized that Soo In’s body was seriously wounded. So she tried to synchronize with her entire body to heal the wounds first. As a result, she was able to save her body but failed to take over her brain completely. Because the parasite failed to take over Soo In’s brain, she could only take over her brain when Soo In was in danger to protect her body which now they both share. The parasite takes over Soo In’s consciousness for about 15 minutes a day to protect and sustain her life.

Parasite Organization:

Parasites are making their own organization and they want to rule by controlling the human brain. Joon Kyung discovers that these monsters are forming an organization. Kang Woo’s elder sister was behaving strangely and his younger sister was also missing. He was investigating his sister and found out about Saejin Church and in the same place he found out that her young sister was dead, she was killed by parasites. The parasite organization also discovered that Soo In is a mutant and now they want to eliminate her.

Overall Thoughts on Parasyte: The Grey Korean Drama:

Parasyte: the Grey is a survival drama and can be finished within a day. It is an adaptation of the manga series “Kiseiju”. The story was about a new living organism which is taken over the human body as a host. The team is formed to eliminate them from the city, these parasites will wither away and die without a human host. So to attack the parasite destroy the human body or destroy the heart in one go. The drama is short so with any boring episode you can easily finish it.
