My Name Korean Drama is the story of Yoo Ji Woo (Han So Hee) whose father dies on her birthday. She desperately wants to take revenge on the person who is responsible for killing his father. She has put all her trust in a powerful crime boss Choi Mu Jin (Park Hee Soon) and enters the police force under his direction.

Yoon Ji Woo is a high school student on her birthday she witnesses that her father being killed by a hooded man. Police also closed the case as the killer was unknown and Ji Woo was very desperate for finding the killer of her father. Meanwhile, Ji Woo seeks help from Choi Moo Jin who is the boss and close friend of Yoon Dong Hoon. He is the leader of Korea’s biggest drug ring. At first, Moo Jin refuses to help her in taking revenge but later after seeing her determination and desperation he gives training to her in becoming strong.

New Identity:

In her training session, Ji Woo becomes stronger and defeats all the gangsters she even defeats the strongest guy in the gang Do Gang Jae. After being defeated by a girl he becomes very angry so he gives drugs to Ji Woo and tries to rape her. Before completing his mission Moo Jin punish and expelled him from Dongcheon. After that Moo Jin gives Ji Woo a new identity Oh Hye Jin and he also tells her that the killer has to be a police officer because the gun that killed Yoon Dong Hoon was issued by police. She is working in the Violent Crime Unit Two. A few years later she is transferred to Narcotics Bureau under Captain Cha Gi Ho.

In Narcotics her first case is a raid on Choi Moo Jin and she is not in a condition to give a warning to Moo Jin. Before the Narcotics team harm Moo Jin she helps him in running away before anyone notices that. Ji Woo uses that the same gun from which her father was killed so the police have to take that as a shred of evidence. On the other hand, Jung Tae Ju questioned Ji Woo’s loyalty but Moo Jin still believe her. Gi Ho suspects there’s a mole within a team and he orders Pil Do to keep a close eye on Ji Woo’s action. With the help of evidence, it was revealed that the gun that killed Dong Hoon belonged to Song Joon Su who was a teammate of Gi Ho.

Unknown Past:

Ji Woo receives a package where an old photo of her father is in a police uniform under Song Joo’s name. When Ji Woo ask Moo Jin about the photo then he told her that he was an undercover cop who was working for Gi Ho but later he changed his side so Gi Ho killed him for that betrayal. Meanwhile, Moo Jin was planning to kill Gi Ho, after knowing the unknown past of her father’s Ji Woo plans to kill Gi Ho but Moo Jin was in doubt that she can kill him so he orders Taeju to kill Gi Ho. When Ji Woo was there he was already bleeding so finally she reveal her identity. In the end, Ji Woo finally knows the real side of Moo Jin and his crime. Gi Ho gives all the evidence and the letter that was written by Dong Hoon to her daughter Ji Woo.

Meanwhile, Moo Jin gives himself to the police to test Ji Woo’s loyalty however he knows that she has found out everything. Ji Woo steals and destroys the evidence so Moo Jin will be free from police custody and she can kill him. The narcotics team also finds out that Ji Woo is the one who was working for Moo Jin.

My Name Korean drama is one of the best Korean drama of 2021. It shows the strong female lead who is very desperate to take revenge on an unknown killer of her father. Ji Woo has sacrificed her whole life, her name, and her career just to take revenge. She became a completely different person for revenge. She has put all her trust in one powerful crime boss and started working under his direction and guidance. If you are someone who loves watching strong female lead characters as well as go action and thriller Kdrama the just go for it.
