Search Korean drama is based on the military, which tells the desperate fight of military members against a mysterious creature and struggles to get away from the DMZ. Koo Dong Jin is a sergeant and has a little time left in the army, whereas Son Ye Rim is an elite officer and she has a secret about her birth. Meanwhile, there is a mystery about sector 21 which they find out together.
Main Characters:
Jang Dong Yoon as Yong Dong Jin
Dong Jin is a sergeant of the special operations force unit. He is in charge of military dogs.
Krystal as Son Ye Rim
Son Ye Rim is the first lieutenant of the special operations force unit. She is currently an officer at the KCST Command Center.
Yoon Park as Song Min Gyu
Min Gyu is the captain of the special operations force unit and he is an elite soldier. He is very cold and rude toward his team.
Lee Hyun Wook as Lee Joon Sung
Joon Sung is the assistant leader and first lieutenant of the special operations force unit. He is hiding a secret from his team members.
Moon Jung Hee as Kim Da Jung
Da Jung is in charge of the explanation of the memorial hall of the DMZ. She is the former Team Leader of the Special Forces’ 709 Special Squadron Women’s Company anti-terrorism unit. Da Jung has a husband and a daughter.
Highlights of Search Korean Drama
Military Theme:
If you are someone who loves watching Military Korean drama then go for it. Search Korean drama starts when the South Korean military was searching in the Demarcation Military Zone (DMZ). The military saw some moments there and they got an update from the HQ that a North Korean defector was nearby DMZ. They saw that she was holding the baby and try to protect her baby from the North Korean military. As South Korean soldiers took the woman and her baby with them but suddenly North Korean soldier came from nowhere and they told South Korean to return her to them.
Missing Soldiers:
Fast forward after 20 years, near DMZ two South Korean soldiers are missing, as they were searching the ball in the forest but some mysterious thing happens there and they didn’t return back. So the military head makes the team for the search of the missing soldier. Son Ye Rim from KCST was given the task to find the missing soldiers. Dong Jin and a few of his soldiers were asked to escort the KCST team. They somehow track the dead body of the missing soldier and they notice that he was killed in a very strange way. Meanwhile, they were escorting the body they were attacked by the wolves.
Mysterious Enemy:
While tracking the missing body Son Ye Rim and Dong Jin saw a mysterious man with green eyes. Meanwhile, some mysterious activity was found in the CCTV camera in the forest so, higher-up and president candidate Lee Hyuk made the team for killing the target. They made a team of five officers, which was headed by Captain Min Gyu. Joon Sung is hiding a secret from his team member that he is the son of Lee Hyuk and he was giving every single detail about the operation to his father.
Military Operation:
They were going to the forest day and night to kill the target, but every time they try to kill him he vanishes into the thin air. The target is very fast, and he can easily fool them. One Night when they go again in the forest to kill the target, then the target came into the military zone in he kills one of the members of Dong Jin was killed by the target. The target was now entering the civil zone, so they make the plan for killing the target inside the village. Finally, the moment came when they kill the target.
Sector 21 Secret:
There was something fishy about sector 21 which everyone was trying to hide from the public especially Lee Hyuk. *Spoiler Alert* IN the year 1997 when the South Korean soldier trying to protect the North Korean women and her baby then after the agreement that she will go back to the North Korea but her baby will go to South Korea the suddenly South Korean start shooting to North Korean and the fight start in that fight all North Korean soldier dies whereas many South Korean soldier died. That team was headed by Jo Min Kook. When was telling the accident to the head office Lee Hyuk kill him and he told the remaining soldier that to shut their mouth otherwise he will kill them too. And he told the HQ that Jo Min Kook goes to North Korea after betraying us. *Spoiler End*
Another Target:
They are finally taking a breath after killing the dangerous target. Suddenly they heard the news that a little girl is going into the forest and again the mysterious target was found on the CCTV. After the struggle, they finally found Soo Young. She told them that he was a person. Dong Jin and Son Ye Rim are in the dilemma that if the target is a good person?
Overall Thought on Search Korean Drama:
From the starting of the Search Korean drama, I was hooked up with that. The full series is full of interesting characters and surprises. Dong Jin is looking very handsome in the Search Korean drama. In the last episode when he finds his father that scene was very heart-touching. Son Ye Rim also finds out the secret about her birth parents. For sure, Search Korean drama is one of the best Korean dramas of 2020.
In Search Korean drama there is no romance the whole series is about the military operation. They were trying to build the romance between Dong Jin and Son Ye Rim but they give focus more on the military operation.
