The World of The Married is the story of a woman Ji Sun Woo (Kim Hee Ae) is a family medicine doctor and married to Lee Tae Oh (Park Hae Joon) and they have a son Lee Joon Young (Jeon Jin Seo). Even though she has everything, a successful career and a happy family, but still she is betrayed by her husband and other people. Lee Tae Oh’s dream is to become a famous movie director. Meanwhile, he is financially supported by his wife. Once, the loyalty and trust have been broken everything else goes into vain.

Kim Hee Ae as Jin Sun Woo

She is a renowned family medicine doctor and the associate director of the Family Love Hospital and has been married to Lee Tae Oh for more than a decade. She has everything in her life a perfect family and a good profession.

A movie director who has been married to Ji Sun Woo for more than a decade. Whereas after getting married, he was unemployed and ultimately started an entertainment company with the help of Sun Woo.

Han So Hee as Yeo Da Kyung

Da Kyung grew up in luxury so she lives without worries, life goals and she majored in Contemporary Dance.

Storm In A Happy Family:

Sun Woo seems to have everything from a successful career with a happy family until she finds that she has been betrayed by her husband. Lee Tae Oh loves and cares about his wife, but he has been dragged into an extramarital affair with Yeo Da Kyung. Sun Woo works out that her husband has been having an affair with Yeo Da Kyung (Han So Hee), the 24-year-old daughter of the region’s wealthiest tycoon (Lee Kyoung Young). She is shocked to discover that several people in her closest social circle are in on the secret.

Doubt Turned Into Reality:

Meanwhile, Jin Sun Woo figured out her husband’s affair without his notice. The affair was confirmed when Yeo Da Kyung (mistress of her husband) one of her patients visits her as she was pregnant. Yeo Da Kyung spitted out that she has been in an affair with a married man without his wife’s knowledge. But the truth is Ji Sun Woo knows everything. As Da Kyung pushes Tae Oh to break up with his wife, the anguished Sun Woo plans to divorce his wife with lawyers.

Aftermath Of Separation:

Sun Woo broke up with Tae Oh and she turned his son Joon Young against his father. With investigative assistance from her patient Min Hyun Seo (Sim Eun Woo), herself suffering at the hands of an abusive boyfriend (Lee Hak Joo), and with some risky maneuvering involving Tae Oh’s accountant and unabashedly promiscuous neighbor Son Je Hyuk (Kim Young Min), Sun Woo schemes to ruin the lives of those who have wronged her. After 2 years, Tae Oh is married to Da Kyung. They have an infant daughter, and he has hit the big time by producing a blockbuster movie with his father-in-law’s money. Joon Young turns very depressed and devastated as he was affected very much by the separation of his parents.

Past Mistakes:

Human nature is that we do everything for our evil desires without thinking about the consequences it brings. Lee Tae Oh loves his wife, and he wishes to end up with her. He does everything to convince her. But Ji Sun Woo has completely given up on the relationship. Lee Tae even tried to end up his life, Ji Sun Woo runs towards him and saves him. Ji Sun Woo’s life has been struck among hate, betrayal, revenge, and the love towards Lee Tae. Joon Young turned frustrated due to his separated parents and their inconsistent decisions. He moves out of the house without his mother’s knowledge.

The End:

“When it comes to married couples, there are no assailants nor completely innocent victims of such things can’t be established,” Ji Sun Woo said in the final episode. This sums up the intense love-hate war that has been going on between her and Tae Oh. Ji Sun Woo stays alone waiting for her son to return home, the show has an open ending. A face blurred man enters the house and Ji sun woo hugs him. It may either be the return of her son or it may be her imagination.

Traversing into the convoluted universe of married couples, the drama taps into various issues that are preexisting in society.
