Record of Youth Korean drama is the story of young generation who go through the lot of struggle and challenges for achieving their goal. Hye Joon is the smart and handsome model and his dreams to become an actor. Hae Hyo is more popular than Hye Joon and they both are best friends since childhood. Meanwhile, Jeong Ha is a makeup artist and she wants to open her own studio.

Park Bo Gum as Sa Hye Joon
Sa Hye Joon is a struggling model-actor and doing too many part-time jobs. His dream is to become a successful actor in the industry. He is from a poor family, so he has no connection in the industry.
Park So Dam as Ahn Jung Ha
Ahn Jung Ha is a makeup artist, she has her own YouTube channel where she gives the tip of makeup. Jung Ha is the fangirl of struggling model-actor Sa Hye Joon. She quit her office job and starts working in the beauty salon and wants to open her own makeup studio.
Byeon Woo Seok as Won Hae Hyo
Won Hae Hyo is a rising superstar who is enjoying the lead star in the industry because of his family’s connection. His professional life is fully controlled by his mother.
Kwon Soo Hyun as Kim Jin Woo
Kim Jin Woo is the photographer, and he is the friend of Hye Joon and Hae Woo. He wants to open his own studio.

Hard Work:
Hye Joon is a very hard-working actor, and he is doing his best for becoming a successful actor in the industry but the path to that is not easy. He is doing so many part-time jobs for earning money. He knows that the path is not easy to reach there, so he does extra hard work to go on the top. Despite so many challenges and failures, he never gives up on his dreams.
Challenges:
Hye Joon has auditioned for many acting roles, but hasn’t found success yet. He is a very hard working and smart actor. He does such a great job in every work, but because he has fewer Instagram followers so one wants to work with him. His popularity is very less as compared to other actors. His family does not support him with money so he has to support himself. His military enlistment is on the top so, he has to delay it ad much as he can.
Family Issues:
Hye Joon’s father and brother always yelling at him because of his dream to become an actor. His father doesn’t want him to become an actor because Hye Joon’s grandfather also wants to become an actor but he can’t become and always con by people. His father wants him to enlist in the army and do any secure job but he doesn’t want that, he wants to achieve his dream before it’s too late. His support system is his grandfather and mother, who always support him and take his side in front of his father and brother.
Fangirl Moments:
Jung Ha is a fan of Hye Joon because of his positive nature. She admires him from his struggling days. One day her dreams come true, where she got the chance to meet with him. In the starting, she didn’t tell him that she is his fan, when Hye Joon asks her, she denies that, and told him that she is Hae Hyo’s fan. But later, she told him that she is his fan. After that meeting, they came close to each other, because of their similarities and straightforward nature. They start dating each other and love to spend time with each other.
Love Traingle:
Hye Joon and Jung Ha like each other company. Whenever they are free from their busy schedule they love to spend time together. Jung Ha meets Hye Joon and Hae Hyo together during their event from the first meeting they are open to each other. Hae Hye is always ready to meet her. He also starts liking her because of her straightforward nature. Even after knowing that Hye Joon and Jung Ha like each other, Hye Joon also unaware that fact his best friend starts liking his girlfriend.
Overcome from Hardships:
Despite failing several auditions and postponing his military enlistment, he finally achieved his dream. Now Hye Joon became a leading actor and everyone wants to work with him. He truly deserves this success and happiness after so many disappointments and failures. His popularity was increasing day by day and he won the award also. Hye Joon was in more demand than other actors. Park Seo Joon make the cameo appearance in the drama.
Romance:
Hye Joon and Jung Ha’s romance were on the top. Hye Joon is a successful actor and there are so many eyes on him, still, he gives his time and makes so time for Jung Ha from his superbusy schedule. They both are supporting and motivating each other in their ups and down. Everything was smoothly going in their relationship, but one scandal came in highlighting that Hye Joon and Charlie Jung are dating, and many other articles claim that he is dating other actresses.
Hye Hyo Insecurities:
When Hye Joon became successful and more popular than Hae Hyo is Insecurities and jealousy were increasing, but he didn’t show that to Hye Joon. Hae Hyo’s popularity was also decreasing day by day and his Instagram followers were also not increasing. His life was full control by his mother and he was also unaware of the fact that his mother was the one buy Insta fans so they, not his real fans. When he knows that he was very disappointed with her action.
Unnecessary Break Up:
In the starting, I like their bond and they look cute together, but after a while, I felt bore. In the second half, I felt that there was no chemistry between them. Jung Ha did the unnecessary break up with Hye Joon and on top of that, the reason was totally stupid, her reason for the break up is that Hye Joon was saying Sorry to often. I mean is this any reason for break up. An unnecessary breaking up is very popular in Korean drama. Her reason for breakup is the stupid reason in Korean dramas history.

The main focus of Record of Youth Korean drama is the importance of friends and family. There is a certain time when you need someone in your life who will be there for you when you need them. You need someone who supports you in every situation. In the Record of Youth, Hye Joon has his family and friends who support him in his difficult situation.
Record of Youth Korean drama tells us that never give up on your dreams, it may be difficult, the path may not be easy, there may be chances that you fail many times but never ever give up on your dreams. It maybe takes time, but you will surely achieve your goal.

This drama may not be perfect drama but there are so many scenes that are cute and funny The chemistry between the leads is okay. My favorite scenes from the dramas are Hye Joon’s family scenes I like the most and the duo of grandfather and grandson is amazing. At the starting of the drama Hye Joon’s father and brother annoy me but the more I watched the drama I like their characters and at the end of the drama I love Hye Joon’s family.
