Kwon Do Hoon (Jang Hyuk) and Kang Yoo Ra (Jang Na Ra) are married and they have a girl. Do Hoon is a secret agent for the NIS (National Intelligence Service) and a sniper, his family was unaware of his secret identity. For his family and friends, he is an ordinary employee for a trading company. Because of his mission, he spends very less time with his family. However, his wife Yoo Ra also hides her secret.

Jang Hyuk as Kwon Do Hoon

Kwon Do Hoon is a secret agent of the National Intelligence Service but he disguises himself as an ordinary employee of a trading company. He is the husband of Kang Yoo Ra.

Jang Nara as Kang Yoo Ra

Kang Yoo Ra is a wife of Do Hoon. She is a housewife who dreams of a normal yet perfect family and she loves her family. Yoo Ra has hidden a secret from her family that she doesn’t want to tell anyone.

Chae Jung An as Oh Cheon Ryun

 Oh Cheon Ryun is the Chief of the National Intelligence Service. She disguises herself as Do Hoon’s manager in the trading company.

Kim Nam Hee as Jo Tae Goo

Jo Tae Goo is an unexpected guest who shocked Yoo Ri. Only Yoo Ri knows his hidden identity.

Secret Agent:

Kwon Do Hoon (Jang Hyuk) is a highly skilled sniper who works for National Intelligence Service. But his family doesn’t aware of his hidden identity and he forgets his 10th wedding anniversary so his wife Yoo Ra goes alone to celebrate and now she has come back to her home country. Do Hoon is great at his work but awful at home. However, Kang Yoo Ra (Jang Nara) always tries to understand her husband but there is always a limit and Do Hoon always cross that limit. Yoo Ra gets annoyed when he forgets their 10th wedding anniversary.

Secret Task:

Do Hoon’s family think that he worked in an ordinary family but was hiding his secret identity from his family. Secretly he was performing his task because of his dedication to work his wife started blaming his manager Oh and she wants to meet him however she was not aware that manager Oh is a female. On the death anniversary of her mother-in-law, she has invited manager Oh and when she finally meets Yoo Ra, she was annoyed by the fact that Do Hoon had hide the fact. Meanwhile, Kwon Do Hoon has to complete his task of killing a person he wants at a luxury hotel.

Union:

Chief Oh and higher management are working on tasks only a few agents are involved in the task and Do Hoon is excluded. Chief Oh doesn’t want to involve him because he has a family to protect. However, Do Hoon was also very suspicious of Chief Oh, he was doing his own investigation. While investigating he find out that the person who injured his colleague in a mission was Wolfe who was his friend. Wolfe is having the same tattoo and he becomes the target of another sniper. No one knows who has killed Wolfe.

Yoo Ra’s Past:

Like Do Hoon’s secret his wife has also hidden her tragic past. Yoo Ra was the one who killed Wolfe, she received a mysterious call from a caller with whom she doesn’t want to be involved. Tae Goo came back to Korea to finish an unfinished task and here he meet Yoo Ra however, his presence make Yoo Ra anxious. Tae Goo put a condition for leaving Korea he gives Yoo Ra a task to kill Chief Oh.

Overall Thoughts on Family: The Unbreakable Bond Korean Drama

Family: The Unbreakable Bond is a reunion drama of Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra after Fated To Love You. I have very high expectations from this drama but the beginning was normal and the kids’ romance was kind of cute but later writer start dragging the kid romance unnecessarily. The cast was amazing but the storyline was okay and the subtitles were annoying in the first two episodes. As a secret agent for Kwon Do Hoon was not able to manage his personal life, he always missed his anniversary, Yoo Ra’s birthday, and Min Seo’s birthday. Meanwhile, Kang Yoo Ra is also hiding her true identity from her family and in-laws, however, she loves her family and can do anything to protect her family. Viewers have mixed feelings for this drama, both the actors are excellent but the story was not up to the mark. You can watch this drama on the free website Myasiantv.
