Korean Dramas are now part of my life and now I can’t live without watching Korean Dramas. I prefer the Rom-Com genre over anything but I have watched these dramas that will for sure make you cry. I do not have any intention to make someone cry by suggesting Korean Dramas That Will Make You Cry list. But you cannot deny the fact that they have been part of our life now.
1. Hi Bye Mama! (2020)
A man who lost his wife is called a widower. And a kid who lost his parents is called an orphan. But there’s no word for a parent who lost their kid. Do you know why? It’s because no word can describe it. There’s no word in the word in this world that can describe the excruciating pain.

She left behind her husband Jo Kang Hwa (Lee Kyu Hyung) and her daughter Jo Seo Woo (Seo Woo Jin). Jo Kang Hwa works as a thoracic surgeon. Meanwhile, he remarried Min Jung (Go Bo Gyeol). Through a reincarnation project, she is given the chance to become human again if she manages to “get her place back” within 49 days. After Yu Ri’s death, Kang Hwa’s personality totally changed. 2. 49 Days (2011)

Synopsis: This story is about a girl whose life is going well she was about to get married but everything changed when she met with a car accident and went into a coma. She has been given a chance to find 3 genuine people outside her family who would shed tears for her and for this she has 49 days. She finds a part-timer to do the task and at the end of this drama she dead.
3. Youth of May (2021)

Synopsis: Youth of May is a story set in the 1980, Gwanju uprising. It portrays the life and struggles placed by a young adult. This is a love of a medical student who is a topper in his class and a nurse who is intelligent and smart. Hee Tae (Lee Do Hyun) is a medical student and a topper in his class. He is an easygoing person. Myung Hee (Go Min Si) worked as a nurse for the past 3 years. She is a kind person. We can binge-watch in a day as it has only 12 episodes. The sad ending broke me down and the end of a beautiful love story made me sob.
4. Uncontrollably Fond (2016)

Synopsis: Shin Joon Young (Kim Woo Bin) and Noh Eul (Bae Suzy) are friends since childhood and their friendship turned into love. Due to some reasons, they both separated. At present, Joon Young is a famous singer and actor and Noh Eul is a documentary producer. Joon Young is very rich and has everything he needs, on the other hand, Noh Eul works hard to make a living. Fate made them meet again and Noh Eul was asked to make a documentary on Joon Young.
5. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016)

Synopsis: Moon Lovers is one of the best Korean dramas of all time. Hae-Soo (IU) works at the department store. Her boyfriend dumps her and she becomes very sad. While drinking near a lake, she sees a drowning boy and jumps to rescue him. At the solar eclipse, she travels back in time to the Goryeo era and finds herself in the middle of princes. Moon Lovers is the remake of a Chinese drama of the same name. I literally cried while watching this drama I felt so bad when Hae-Soo got tortured and treated as a slave.
6. Twenty-Five Twenty-One (2022)

Cast: Kim Tae Ri, Nam Joo Hyuk, Kim Ji Yeon, Choi Hyun Wook, Lee Joo Moong
Synopsis: Twenty-Five Twenty-One Korean Drama is a love story of Na Hee Do (Kim Tae Ri) and Baek Yi Jin (Nam Joo Hyuk). Hee Do is a member of the high school fencing team. After the financial crisis, their lives changed. Her team gets disbanded because the school becomes unfunded due to IMF but somehow she becomes a member of the fencing national team. Meanwhile, Yi Jin’s father’s business went bankrupt. So he does all the part-time jobs. However, he becomes a sports reporter for a broadcasting network. I feel so sad for Hee Do she couldn’t even celebrate or be happy about winning a gold medal for the country. It was heartbreaking to watch her sitting by herself where no one was congratulating her.
7. Hotel Del Luna (2019)

Cast: IU, Yeo Jin-Goo, Lee Do-Hyun, P.O., Kang Mi-Na, Bae Hae-Sun, Shin Jung-Keun
Synopsis: Jang Man-Wol (IU) has been stuck in time for centuries. She is alive but doesn’t age or die. Man-Wol is the CEO of a special Hotel Del Luna. This hotel only takes ghosts as guests. Goo Chan-Sung (Yeo Jin-Goo) is a smart and young hotelier. Jang Man-Wol asks Goo Chan-Sung to become a manager at Hotel Del Luna. This drama might have a happy ending only if she chooses to stay with the love of her life instead of choosing the afterlife journey.
8. It’s Okay, That’s Love (2016)

Synopsis: This drama doesn’t have a sad ending but the childhood trauma the main lead face will make you cry. They are opposite of each other but when they came closer and get to know about each other’s conditions, they help each other to cope with that situation.
9. Jinxed At First (2022)

Synopsis: Jinxed At First Korean Drama story revolves around a witch who can see the future just by holding hands and bringing fortune into one’s life. Years after years a family used their powers to succeed and was captive in a secret place. But things changed when Seul Bi raise her voice against it. I felt bad for her as well as for her mother because they were kept hidden from the outside world for years. For them the world is that place as an adult it’s ok to understand but as a kid, it’s hard to accept that you cannot do what others can do your age.
10. Angry Mom (2015)

Synopsis: Mother is another name for sentiments and she can do anything for her child even if she has to go beyond her powers. In this drama, a mother’s love for her child will make you cry. This is the story of a mother Kang Ja (Kim Hee Sun) and her daughter Oh Ah Ran (Kim Yoo Jung). A mother who goes back to school to protect her daughter from bullies.
