One Ordinary Day is the story of Kim Hyun Soo (Kim Soo Hyun) who is a college student and took his father’s cab for a night out. Suddenly, a girl gets in the car even though he neglected it. Then they both traveled together to the beach and goes back to her home and slept together. When Kim Hyun Soo wakes up in the morning he finds that the girl was stabbed in the back. Immediately police surrounded him and arrested him for the murder, he could not actually recollect what happened the last night. This story portrays what happened that night, who is the real culprit behind the murder.

Highlights of One Ordinary Day Korean Drama
Life Changing Night:
Hyun Soo was a college student. One night, he secretly took his father’s cab for a night out with his friends. On a signal Hong Guk Hwa (Hwang Se On) popped on the car, she was drunk. Even though he said the taxi was out of duty, the woman doesn’t listen to it. Then they went to the beach together and to the girl’s home. They’re both drunk, had drugs together, and ended up having a pleasurable night together. The next morning, Hyun Soo found Guk Hwa in a pool of blood with a knife stab. He was totally confused and frightened, he could not recollect anything from the last night, soon he ran away with the knife found there. Her neighbors found him anxiously moving out of the home with the knife and reported to the police. Soon, Hyun Soo was arrested as a suspect for the murder.
Suspect of Murder:
Shin Jung Han is an unpopular lawyer who steps forward to help Kim Hyun Soo. Sang Beom is the detective investigating this case, he is very sincere in his job and works only for justice. Jung Han advised Hyun Soo to stay quiet during hearings, as it may turn favor to him if he says something. Sang Beom finds a nebulizer in Hwang Se On home, he suddenly remembers that Kim Hyun Soo is an asthma patient. Kim Hyun Soo’s jail life starts. He stays in cell 7927 with an older man and a man with panic disorder. Do Ji Tae is a prisoner who rules the entire prison with his powers.
Cruel Prison Life:
Kim Hyun Soo’s life turned into hell in the prison, other prisoners started torturing him. Do Ji Tae offers a helping hand towards Kim Hyun Soo. Then Kim Hyun soo was examined using a lie detector. Kim Hyun Soo was so sad and in fear at the beginning but now he is so clear and he didn’t accept any charges over him. Kim Hyun Soo and Jung Han were so firm that justice was on their side. He was endlessly tortured and beaten in the prison to accept that he is the murderer.
Justice:
Jung Han with his hard work and dedication found the culprit. It is Doctor, ark Chan Yeol, Hong Guk Hwa’s (Hwang Se On) doctor who prescribed her medicine for her disordered sleeping, who is found guilty. He and Hwang Se On were in a relationship, after knowing he is married, they broke up. Because of his rage after the woman turned him down like a lover, he decided to take her life, as he didn’t want anyone to be loved by her if it wasn’t him. At last, Kim Hyun Soo was released but his heart is filled with bad memories in the prison.
Overall Thoughts on One Ordinary Day Korean Drama:
One Ordinary Day is an excellent drama that has many inner life lessons. The consequences caused by drugs and alcohol can even take up your life, this is portrayed in this drama. Law should treat everyone equally, accusing the poor who is innocent is totally unfair. At last, justice was served in this drama. I actually admired everyone’s acting in this drama.
