Medical Korean dramas are my all-time favorite and haven’t missed any of these. This drama is about two doctors being in one body. Cha Young Min (Rain) is a skilled but arrogant doctor. His spirit possessed another doctor’s body Seong Tak (Kim Bum). They both are opposite of each other, one is arrogant and the other is not, one is rude and the other one is jolly, one thing about him only instead of having skills but other one things about a patient even though he does not have any practical skills.

Main Characters:

Rain as Cha Young Min

He is a genius heart surgeon who did his first surgery when he was just an intern. He is arrogant, rude, and thinks only about himself.

Kim Bum as Ko Seung Tak

He is in the first year of heart surgery residency. He is a genius when it comes to theoretical knowledge but when it comes to practical work he is a loser. Plus he comes from a rich family and his family owns the hospital he is working at.

Uee as Jang Se Jin

She is working as a neuro-surgeon out of South Korea and she is Cha Young-min’s ex-girlfriend who recently came back to Korea to get treated her father who adopted her when she was young.

Son Na Eun as Oh Soo Jung

She is an emergency room intern who always seems motivated.

Highlights of Ghost Doctor Korean Drama

Newly Joined:

Ko Seung Tak joins the hospital as 1-year residency and Cha Young Min is pissed off that he is here to just clear the board exam so that he can be one of the directors. He started figuring out how to kick him out but he was so good at practical knowledge and sucks at practical. So he thought it was his chance to get him out of the hospital.

An Accident:

Cha Young-Min doesn’t treat patients who have 0 % chances to survive so he rejected one of the richest man’s surgery but when he get to know that he was Jang Se Jin’s father he decided to treat him and fell into the trap of higher-ups. The surgery went well but one of his subordinates did something with the medicine so that patient dies but he went into a coma. later that day when he was coming back to check his patient condition he met with an accident and became a comma ghost.

Exception:

A comma ghost is a spirit of a person who is not dead but in a comma. There were a few rules first one is that coma ghosts cannot go far on their own from where the body is kept. The second one says they cannot possess the human body. But in his case, he can possess the human body only of Ko Seung Tak. Once he left the hospital bypassing his body and he got bumped into someone and come out of his body he almost died that day if Ko Seung Tak doesn’t approach him to save someone.

I Can See You:

Ko Seung Tak is acting hard but one day to save someone’s life he admitted that he can see Cha Young-Min and also other ghosts who are roaming around the hospital. Later he became a good friend with them and also complete their wishes. Now they both are working together to save patients’ life. Ko Seung Tak was getting famous and this brings him in trouble.

Past:

Ko Seung Tak has trauma from the past, he went on beating with his father and fell into the water. While saving him his father died. He was only eight years old back then and since that day he started seeing a ghost. To overcome that fear he started coming to the hospital and he succeeded but when it comes to operating on someone he can’t do a single thing.

You can:

Cha Young-Min motivated Ko Seung Tak that he can be a great doctor if he starts practicing and Cha Young-Min will be his mentor. In starting he refuses but the urge to save Cha Young-Min motivated him and started from the start.

Overall Thoughts on Ghost Doctor Korean Drama

I am loving this drama new twist is about to come. Highly impressed by Kim bum’s acting skills. Rain has also appeared on the small screen after two years and doing a fabulous job. You laugh and cry with them the chemistry between Cha Young-Min and Ko Seung Tak is damn good. You will also see a cute romance between main leads.
