Top Rom-Com Korean Dramas For Beginners from my recent watch list. For me, Rom-Com Korean dramas are the soul of the K-drama world. If you are a beginner, let me warn you that there is no way to return once you enter this world.
1. Extraordinary You (2019)

Synopsis: This Korean drama is also known as “Ha-Roo Found by Chance”. How would you feel if you find out that you are just a character of a comic book? And how would you react if you find out that you are the mere extra character of a comic book which is drawn by a writer just to support the main characters? This drama is about a terminally ill girl and recently finds out that she is just an extra character in the comic book. She wants to change her faith with the help of a nameless guy.
2. Crash Landing On You (2019-20)

Synopsis: This Korean drama is the story of a South Korean woman Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin) and North Korean army officer captain Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin). One Day while paragliding Yoon Se Ri lands in North Korea due to an accident where she met captain Ri Jeong Hyeok and the other five officers. They tried their best to send her back safely to South Korea meanwhile she and captain Yoon Se Ri fall for each other. This drama is one of the best Rom-com Korean drama of 2019-2020.
3. Backstreet Rookie (2020)

Cast: Ji Chang-Wook and Kim Yoo-Jung
Synopsis: This Korean drama is also known as Convenience Store Saet Byeol. This is a story of a girl who is madly in love with a guy for the past 10 years and that guy was the store manager he was a little clumsy and kind.
4. The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)
Network: SBS

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Comedy, and Suspense
Cast: Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, Woo Do Hwan, and Kim Yong Ji
Synopsis: This drama is about two different worlds Kingdom of Corea where Lee Gon (Lee Min-ho) is a king and the Republic of Korea where Jung Tae-eul (Kim Go-eun) is a detective. Their faith is entangled and together they solve a mystery related to Lee Gon’s past.
5. Start-Up (2020)

Cast: Nam Joo Hyuk, Bae Suzy, Kim Seon Ho, and Kang Han Na
Synopsis: This drama will leave you with the second lead syndrome. Start-Up Korean drama is about starting a business, the hardships they face while doing it, with the flavor of romance and Comedy. Seo Dal Mi (Bae Suzy) is a girl with big dreams and lives with her granny after her father’s death. She falls in love with Nam Do San (Nam Joo Hyuk) who was good with coding. When she was young her parents got divorced and her mother took her elder sister she felt lonely. So her grandmother decided to make Han Ji Pyeong (Kim Seon Ho) write her letters by the name of Nam Do San.
6. 18 Again (2020)

Synopsis: Hong Dae-Young (Yoon Sang-Hyun) and Jung Da-Jung( Kim Ha-neul) were in a relationship when they are 18 years old. When Jung Da-Jung got pregnant with twins, they decided to get marry and take care of their kids together. Jung Da-Jung postponed her dream of becoming a T.V. anchor and Hong Dae-Young gave up on basketball. When their kids became 18 years old Hong Dae-Young was going through a hard time and his life became miserable. He wished to become 18 years old again and succeeded in becoming one. After transformation, he realized what were the real problems and he tried had to short them out.
7. Meow The Secret Boy (2020)

Synopsis: This Korean drama is also known as Welcome. This is a story of a cat Hong Jo (Kim Myung Soo) who can convert himself into a man and fell in love with his owner Kim Sol Ah (Shin Ye Eun). You have seen humans falling for Gumiho, alien, mermaid, comic character but falling for a cat is something new and you should not miss this one.
8. True Beauty (2020-21)

Synopsis: This drama is about a high school girl Joo Gyung (Moon Ga Young) who got bullied by her classmates for being ugly and when she changed her school she did a complete makeover of her to look beautiful. At her new school, she gets involved with two handsome and popular boys Lee Suho (Cha Eun Woo) and Seo Joon (Hwang In Yeop).
9. So I Married An Anti-Fan (2021)

Synopsis: Geun Young (Soo Young) who is a magazine reporter became the official anti-fan of a popular star Hoo Joon (Choi Tae Joon) due to some misunderstanding. Later they worked together in a show called ” So I married an anti-fan “. Their relationship started with misunderstanding then hating each other and lastly, they both fall in love.
10. Monthly Magazine Home (2021)

Synopsis: This Korean drama is also known as “Monthly House”. This is the story of a woman Na Young-Won (Jung So Min) who was an editor and desperate to buy her own house and a man Yo Ja-Seong (Kim Ji Seok) who was a real estate owner and the only motive was to earn money. They both have different personalities but with time they started feeling for each other.
