Navillera Korean drama is the story of Sim Deok Chul (Park In Hwan) whose dream was to perform ballet. He is 70-years-old and retired as a post office employee. He finally decided to pursue his dream again but his family was not happy with his decision. There, he meets Lee Chae Rok (Song Kang) he is a 23-year-old student. His mother was a ballet dancer, but she died from a disease when Chae Rok was young.

Deok Chul is a 70-year-old retired mailman. All his friends talk about their unaccomplished dreams and aging. He started to run towards his dream of becoming a ballerina.

Song Kang as Lee Chae Rok:

Chae Rok is a 23 old ballerino. He is so determined to achieve his goal but his financial and family struggles depressed him. He works as a part-timer in a cafe.

Na Moon Hee as Choi Hae Nam:

She is Deok Chul’s wife. She cares for her family and takes care of her husband. Initially, she refused Deok Chul’s dream, but after knowing how determined his husband is she started supporting him.

Hong Seung Hee as Shim Eun Ho:

Eun Ho is Deok Chul’s granddaughter who works as an intern in the same cafe with Chae Rok. They both became friends.

Life Long Dream:

Deok Chuk is a retired mailman and he worked hard in his young life and now as he retired fills the incomplete. He has 2 sons and a daughter all of them are settled. He had a group of friends who meets often. Some of his friends were busy taking care of their grandchildren and some died of bad health. On his 70th birthday, he feared that his life too may end incomplete. On the way to his home, he saw Chae Rok practicing ballads for his competition. Deok Chul admired him as he had a lifelong dream of becoming a ballerina. At a young age, his father disapproved of his dream and now he wishes to chase them.

Chae Rok’s life:

Chae Rok is a 23-year-old Ballerino, and he works as a part-timer in a cafe. His late mother is a ballad dancer whereas his father is in jail. His life is full of struggles. The sin committed by his father followed him, everyone around badmouthed him. He struggles financially as well as is depressed. His ballarino dream faded up and he lost concentration.

Follow Your Dreams:

Deok Chuk approached Chae Rok’s coach, former ballet star Ki Seung-Joo. He refused to train him due to his old age. But Deol Chuk was so determined and visited him daily. So, Seung Joo decided that Chae rok would teach him ballad and Chul should be his manager. This plan was made to bring Chae Rok back on track. Deok Chul kept his ballad dream a secret from his family. He faced a lot of struggles initially because of his old age. But his dreams made everything possible. Chae Rok believed in Chul as time passed by and an emotional grandfather-grandson relationship developed between them.

Dreams Do Turn Into Reality:

Deok Chuk achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a ballerina and he performed in front of hundreds of people. This proves to us that anyone can achieve their dream at any age all we need is determination. Then Deok Chul has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and there we get a time-lapse of 3 years. Deok Chul forgot most things, but he still remembers his teacher Chae Rok and dance moves. Chae rok is now a star ballerina, he worked hard and stayed patient that paid off.

It is a heartwarming and outstanding drama. It fills us with a wide range of emotions. Deok Chul’s commitment to his dream inspires and motivates every one of us. We get to witness the terrible reality of old age, they worked for us in their youth and missed to fulfill their dreams. So, we should understand them and spend time with them. All they need is love. The dream has no limitation, anyone who has a dream will eventually achieve it. I highly recommend this drama guys, binge watch.
