Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) is a rookie police officer. His life totally changed after the encounter with a psychopath murderer. Mouse Korean drama also raises the question, is it possible to identify a psychopath in the mother’s womb using fetal genetic testing?

Main Characters:

Lee Seung Gi as Jung Ba Reum

Jung Ba Reum is a police officer whose life changes after encountering a psychopathic killer. He is a very kind person and everyone in his neighborhood likes him. He won the Citizen Hero Award after beating bullies when he was in high school.

Lee Hee Joon as Go Moo Chi

Go Moo Chi is a detective who is also known as a “gangster detective”. The arrest rate of Go Moo-chi is the highest among other officers but he is not interested in promotion. When he was a young kid his parents were killed by a psychopath’s murder. The Predator, a psychopath murderer has captured his attention.

Park Joo Hyun as Oh Bong Yi

Oh Bong Yi is a high school student and she lives with her grandmother. She is an expert in martial art and she is a tough and straightforward girl but has a deep wound in her hurt that haunts her. In her school bag, she always carries her boxing gloves instead of books. Bong Yi’s grandmother always tells her to marry Jung Ba Reum because she believes if her grandaughter marries to police officer her life will be safer.

Kyung Soo Jin as Choi Hong Joo

Choi Hong Joo is a production of Current Affairs and Culture at OBN. She is very dedicated to her work. She often goes to the police station to collect the information. At a very young age, she won many awards which makes her one of the most talented reporters in the OBN Broadcasting station. A psychopathic killer caught her attention and the more closer she get to the case, the harder the truth comes out.

Highlights of Mouse Korean Drama

Psychopath Killer:

Mouse Korean drama starts with a young boy Jae Hoon who feeds a mouse to a black snake. Meanwhile, other kids run away whereas Jae Hoon unblinking watches that with no fear on his face. Ten years earlier a young woman in the middle of the night going back to her home suddenly a little girl approach her crying that there was an accident and her father is still in the car. When the young woman is near the car and opens the door suddenly the driver attacks her. After a week later the body of that woman was found in the ocean, with letters and numbers marked on her hand. It shows that she is the victim of a serial killer “Head Hunter”.

Head Hunter Targets:

A family of four lost the way and they asked another driver for directions, finally, they reach their destination. Unfortunately, heavy snowfall has caused issues at the campsite. Two kids Moo Won and Moo Chi are playing whereas the father steps away to get water but suddenly he hears his wife crying out. When he reaches there he saw that a masked killer holding a knife in his hand trying to kill his wife. The mother manages to run away and hide her kids inside the van but in the last, she sacrifices herself to save them. Moo Won and Moo Chi watch the whole scene when “Head Hunter” was killing their mother. After he was trying to kill them at the last moment police officers arrived on the scene.

Head Hunter’s Real Face:

Detective Park Doo Seok appears in the hospital and ask Moo Chi whether he saw the killer’s face or not but Moo Chi was in shock both his parents were murdered and their bodies have disappeared. Suddenly he saw a picture and start screaming while looking at that picture. Dr. Seo Joon was in that picture who is a neurosurgeon in the hospital. Doo Seok shows up at Seo Joon’s house with a search warrant. The search brings but there were no clues to prove that he is a “Head Hunter”. Moo Chi appears and slashes at Seo Joon’s face from the car and the snowman’s head smashes to the ground and Moo Chi his mother’s barrette which was wearing. In the end, Seo Joon is found out to be the “Head Hunter”.

Another Psychopath Killer:

In the present day, police found the dead body of a woman in a sewer. She was attacked by a killer in an alleyway, and her middle finger was forcefully bent back. Moo Chi arrives at a crime scene and found something suspicious about the murder. According to his theory murder in the boxing gym and the person who killed the lady are the same. He is either an attention seeker or against religion.

Challenge For Ko Moo Chi:

The psychopathic killer was killing many people and wanted the attention of Moo Chi. He challenges Ko Moo Chi to find out why he is killing all these people in simple words what is the common thing among all the victims and if he finds out then he’ll not kill Han Kook. As expected Moo Chi accept his challenge and he even found the common thing among all victims but Killer change the game once again. In the live broadcast, he kills Moo Chi’s brother and he was shocked after that incident.

Plot Twist:

Moo Chi finally finds out about the killer where all the evidence was pointing toward Sung Yo Han. Sung Yo Han also hiding something from everyone. Finally, he makes his move to kill Jung Ba Reum Yo Han was in Ba Reum’s house but there he finds out that Bong Yi was there and she was running away from him. Ba Reum came to save Bong Yi but Yo Han beats him down to the ground while Moo Chi shoots Yo Han. In the hospital, Han Seo Jun did his first human brain transplant now Yo Han’s brain is inside Ba Reum.

Overall Thoughts On Mouse Korean Drama:

Mouse Korean drama is one of the best Suspense, Thriller, Mystery as well as Psychological Korean dramas of the year 2021. Mystery- thriller is one of my favorite genres. It will give you all the chill vibes and you will suspect Jung Ba Reum as well as Sung Yo Han who could be a psychopathic killer between them. I highly recommend you, people, to watch Mouse Korean drama. From the first episode, I’m hooked on this drama. You can watch Mouse Korean drama in Viki.

I must say that Mouse Korean drama is one of the best K-drama there are so many twists in the drama which you will not expect in any way. If you are someone who enjoys watching psychological mystery-thriller then you’ll definitely enjoy this Korean drama. In the end, I felt very sad for Sung Yo Han everyone misunderstood him.
