Main Characters:

Goo Sung Hee as Han So Yeon

She is a woman working with a glass company and suffering from face blindness. She doesn’t have any friends except her roommate.

Yoon Hyun Min as Go Nan Do/ Holo

He was a rude, arrogant, and handsome guy. Founder of GIO lab AI-based company. He didn’t get close to someone because he might get hurt when they will leave.

Holo is created by Go Nan Do an Artificial intelligence-based hologram.

Highlights of My Holo Love Korean Drama

Solitary Life:

Han So Yeon, who is suffering from face blindness disorder living a solitary life. She wasn’t able to recognize faces, even in her workplace, she recognizes people by their names or dressing style, this is the reason people call her “bitch”. People think that she ignores them intentionally, but the reality is different.

Solitary Life Becomes Sociable:

Han So Yeon solitary life becomes sociable when she accidentally meets a prototype hologram Artificial Intelligence (AI) named “Holo”, who can be seen with the help of a particular glass. He is eager to help her in the way she wants. He helped with her office work, recognizing the people around her, and always cheers up her whenever she feels down.

Dating Coach:

When Holo saw that Han So Yeon has a crush on one of her co-workers he offers to be her dating coach. Meanwhile, Go Nan Do was watching them from his laboratory, he warned Holo that for being a dating coach you have to lie, and later you will end up hurting his user.

New Neighbor:

Go Nan Do moves to the next-door apartment of Han So Yeon because he thinks Holo is behaving abnormal and this is all because of Han So Yeon. Go Nan Do wants to fix him no matter what it takes. He even tried to reset Holo’s memory but failed.

Conflict Between Mind and Heart:

Han So Yeon now shares a special bond with Holo instead of knowing that she has to return him back to his owner. Her heart has feelings for Holo, but the mind says a human cannot fall in love with AI. She used to talk very informally with him, but after knowing about her feeling she told Holo to maintain distance from her. Holo request, let him be her side instead he will give audio instructions and will not appear in front of her.

Mens’ After Glasses:

Baek Chan Sung (Hwang Chan Sung) sends his men after the glasses Han So Yeon has bugged the fail to get the same. Holo helped Go Nan Do in saving Han So Yeon.

Something Changed:

When Han So Yeon wake up at the hospital after getting into a car accident she recognizes Holo’s face. She thought it was kind of a miracle that she can see only Holo’s face and she finally confesses her feeling to Holo.

Tried To Tell Truth:

Holo asked Go Nan Do to tell her the truth about his existence, but whenever they tried to tell her the truth she stops them from doing or saying random things. Later Go Nan Do tell Holo that he is capable of love someone because he was someone who can learn things and after knowing this fact, he tells Han So Yeon that he will be a person who will love her and be faithful to her.

Dating With Norms:

Han So Yeon feels attracted to Holo and at the same time, she feels miserable because she can’t touch or feel him. Later she realizes that loving Holo means certain relationship norms which she can’t avoid.

Reveal Himself:

Go Nan Do went hiding when he was young, he hacked the whole system of South Korea from New Zealand and committed suicide. He was dead as per papers. But recently, he was included in certain events that happened to Han So Yeon and the police recognize him. Go Nan Do deals with the police officer and kept Holo as a secret from them.

Hacked System:

Competitors who want to stole Holo tried to hack the system to get his prototype, but Go Nan Do spilled water in their intentions, but this hacking has affected Holo and they have to retrieve him back. Retrieving Holo is time taking process and Go Nan Do decided to act as Holo in front of Han So Yeon for the time being. He even offers her to live in his lab, and she agreed to it. Later she also came to know that Holo and Go Nan Do are two different persons with the same face and been she asked him why he did this to her he confesses his feelings to her that he likes her and doesn’t want to hurt her.

Holo is Back:

Holo restores himself but he couldn’t come out of the frame and all his memories were gone missing. He couldn’t recognize Han So Yeon.

Bring Back Memories:

Han So Yeon and Go Nan Do working hard on getting back Holo’s memory bit everything seems like a waste of time and effort. Later they decide to visit those places where Holo went with Han So Yeon and it didn’t work out, lastly, they went to the place where they were living in their childhood and Holo remembers his memories.

Share Feelings:

While working on bringing back Holo’s memory Han So Yeon discovers a history with Go Nan Do. She also came to know of him that her mother abandoned him and committed suicide. To confront him, she even tells him about how his father divorced her mother and lived them alone. Later he tells her that he is happy to meet her again as the only happy memories he has are with her.

Error:

Holo started acting weird, so Go Nan Do decided to read him all code again. He saw Holo doesn’t have an error but instead, he has a hidden code fed by his mother. Holo thinks of Go Nan Do as his friend and cares about him because of that code.

No Choice:

Go Nan Do was forced by his rival company to give up on Holo and his IT-based company GIO lab. He left with no choices and handover, both the things to them. He even pushed back Han So Yeon’s feelings for him because they both remind each other about Holo.

Stranger:

The new version of Holo was launched by a rival company, and it turned out to be a big success. Almost everyone in the city uses Holo. When Han So Yeon saw Holo, he has the same face but, he looks total stranger to her.

Plan on Action:

While Holo proves to be a huge hit with the public, Go Nan Do hides himself. He was planning to return the original Holo to Han So Yeon that’s why he hack a rival company’s system and delete the new version of Holo. Now only one Holo exists who is his childhood friend.

Escape:

Go Nan Do escaped from the police as well as the rival company’s men. He was almost caught by them while he was trying to flee away from Korea and saved by Holo and Han So Yeon.

Holo’s Call:

While Han So Yeon and Go Nan Do were sleeping, Holo calls the police officer who has been handling this case from the first hacking. He helped both of them in escaping because he knew only Holo and Go Nan Do together can stop the rival company’s CEO’s bad intention.

Threat:

Rival company CEO Beak Nam Gyu kidnapped Han So Yeon and Go Nan Do breaks into the lab to save So Yeon where he came to know about the mystery behind his mother’s death. Later, police arrested him and Holo deleted him permanently.

Overall Thought on My Holo Love:

I really got emotional in a few of the scenes, even though this is all fictional. My Holo Love has shown the loneliness of an ordinary girl who needs someone by her side. A boy whose mother really worried about him and created Holo to look after him and his loved ones. A person who killed someone because of his own benefit. A son who follows his fathers order all the time but at the end, he has the courage to fight back and a girl who wants to live her own life.
