I have been watching Korean dramas for the past five years and these are few Things You Will Notice In Korean Dramas that I have been noticing or might be you have already noticed. If you are new to this k-drama world then you gonna notice common things in Korean dramas.
1. Love Triangle
We often see love triangles in Korean Drama and sometimes love triangles break my heart. I mean why second lead was the always sacrificing. Some of the latest Korean dramas with a love triangle are “Oh My Landlord“, “Monthly Magazine Home“, “True Beauty “, “More Than Friends“, “Record of Youth“, etc. If you want to check out Korean dramas with no love triangle then click here.
2. Crazy Best Friends
We see a group of crazy friends in almost all the Korean dramas. Sometimes they became enemies due to some past issues, sometimes they fall for the same girl/guy, and they were always there to listen to your stories. Some of the dramas with crazy friends are “Racket Boys”, “Hospital Playlist”, “Reply 1988”, “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”, “Modern Farmers” etc.
3. Confession Scenes
This is the best part about the Korean drama unexpected confession scenes. One of my favorite confessions was from the drama “Descendants of the Sun”, where Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) indirectly and unintentionally proposed Yoo Shi Jin (Song Jong Ki). Also when Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) met Goblin and said “saranghae” (I Love You).
4. Team Dinners
Team dinners are the best way to hang out with your colleagues after working hours or on weekends. This helps them to bond more. In these dinners, they drink together, eat good food, play games, and sing together.
5. No Shoes Inside House
You will see this whenever Korean drama characters enter their home they open their shoes at door and wear different slippers at home. Sometimes they also open their shoes outside restaurants where they have meals sitting on floors.
6. Second Lead Couples
When all the focus is on first leads in any Korean drama sometimes you will find Second Lead couples who are too cute to handle. There are few dramas where second leads also get a partner. For instance Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myeong Ju from “Descendants of the Sun”.
7. Ramyeon
Korean dramas are incomplete without Ramyeon, you will see it in every single drama. Remember the scene from “True Beauty” when Han Seo Joon’s sister cooked Ramyeon for herself and he eats it all saying that she is a good cook. When they want to save money, have no time to cook, when friends are at home, and having late-night snacks craving Ramyeon always works out.
8. Addressing People
Koreans are very careful while addressing people respective to their age, job title, and position in the family. For example, when you are drinking with elders you have to turn your head away from them while sipping, accept, and pour drinks with two hands.
