The Atypical Family Korean Drama is about a family with different supernatural powers who lost their powers because of new societal issues. However, when they meet Do Da-hae their power seems to come back.

Jang Ki-yong as Bok Gwi-ju

He has the power to revisit happy moments from the past. He lost his power after the death of his wife due to depression.

Chun Woo-hee as Do Da-hae

She is a con artist who works for a woman to pay off her father’s debt. She married people for their money and then got divorced.

Go Doo-shim as Bok Man-heum

She is Gwi-ju’s mother and has supernatural powers of seeing the future in her dreams. She can also see how the stock market will do in the future so she can invest but she lost her powers due to insomnia

Claudia Kim as Bok Dong-hee

She is Gwi-ju’s elder sister who has supernatural flying powers but lost her powers because of obesity.

Highlights of The Atypical Family Korean Drama

First Encounter:

Gwi-ju’s mother took all her family to the beach and asked them to use their powers but none of them were able to use them. Suddenly Gwi-ju fell in the water and Do Da-hae saved him. Everyone thought in his family that he committed suicide but Do Da-hae know that he jumped to get a toy out of the water.

Impressed:

Gwi-ju’s mother went to a parlor for a massage but this time Do Da-hae attended to her and mixed sleeping pills in her tea so that she could get some sleep and be impressed by her. Now she called her at her house for her services and wants to set up his son with her but he did initially and agreed later.

Unknown Incidents:

Do Da-hae always says that Gwi-ju met her, held her hand, and hugged her tightly but he always denied that later he realized that his future self was visiting her and he was correct. But the past he can visit is only the moments he spent with her. Also, she is the only person who can see and feel his touch.

Truth Revealed:

Do Da-hae’s family who adopted her after his father’s death together work to scam Gwi-ju’s family. However, Gwi-ju’s daughter and his sister already identified that she was a scammer because her daughter has the power to read minds by looking into their eyes but she hides that from the entire family. Da-hae gives it a long thought and walks off from the venue of her marriage after telling everyone the truth.

love Bloomed:

Later Love between the two and Gwi-ju tries to convince her to marry her so that he can save her in the future. After so much struggle she agreed but also came to know that he would die in an accident while saving her. So she created a fake scenario for her but failed because Gwi-ju and her daughter found her by using their powers

Overall Thoughts on The Atypical Family Korean Drama

Drama is okay to watch some plots are interesting and some are so boring. The drama is all about saving a woman by going into the past. A person who is depressed because he lost her wife and a colleague falls in love with another woman just because he realizes that he is the one who rescued her in the past.
