Adamas Korean drama is the story of twin brothers. Ha Woo Shin (Ji Sung) and Song Soo Hyun (Ji Sung) are twin brothers. Both of them have different personalities. Woo Shin is a famous novelist and Soo Hyun is a prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Their stepfather was killed 22 years ago. Now after 22 years, the case came in front of them again.
Main Characters:
Ji Sung as Ha Woo Shin
Woo Shin is a best-selling mystery novelist. Among the twins, he is the youngest. Woo Shin enters the ‘Haesongwon’ to steal ‘Adamas’, which is a murder weapon that led to his step-father’s death.
Ji Sung as Song Soo Hyun
Soo Hyun is a prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutor’s Office. He is the complete opposite of his twin brother. Soo Hyun becomes a prosecutor to find the actual culprit of their stepfather.
Seo Ji Hye as Eun Hye Soo
Hye Soo is the only daughter of a Eunkook hospital director and the wife of Haesong Group’s oldest son Kwon Hyun Jo (Seo Hyun Woo). One day she gets the chance to take revenge on Haesong Group so he decides to help Woo Shin.
Lee Soo Kyung as Kim Seo Hee
Seo Hee is a journalist for the social justice department. She is bold and fearless. For justice, she can do anything. Seo Hee was helping Song Soo Hyun in Lee Chang Woo’s case.
Highlights of Adamas Korean Drama
Ghostwriter:
The drama starts with an anonymous letter that one of the twins received. Meanwhile, in the prison mass murder takes place. Soo Hyun is a prosecutor and the older brother of Woo Shin who is a novelist. Woo Shin is very manageable, serious, and makes a decision carefully however Soo Hyun is living without care. One day Woo Shin gets the offer to ghostwrite a memoir for Chairman Kwon (Lee Kyung Young). They are offering him a handsome paycheck with conditions. Woo Shin’s agents thought that he will reject an offer but he surprised his agent by signing the contract.
Haesong Mansion:
Finally, Woo Shin reached his destination for the ghostwriting project. Security was very tight in Haesong Mansion, every move is monitored by the security team. Woo Shin is scanned and examined by biometric logging so that the security system and staff can confirm his identity not only that but they will monitor his location all time. He is not allowed to take his personal belongings with him inside the mansion, not even prohibited to take his phone. Woo Shin knows everything because he was there not for ghostwriting but because of another reason.
Investigation Inside Mansion:
Woo Shin is prohibited to enter certain areas of the mansion. But it is impossible for our hero to obey anyone so he decides to explore the mansion at night. slowly he came to know the truth about the mansion which was hidden from the outside world. Hye Soo is the daughter-in-law of chairman Kwon, she gives hint to Woo Shin that the helicopter crash might not be an accident in which his second son died. However, the only reason Woo Shin was inside the mansion was to steal the “Adamas” (the murder weapon). Through “Adamas” he can prove his father’s innocence. Inside the mansion, he came to know that Hye Soo was the one who sent the letter, she also confirms that but she denies inviting him to the mansion as a ghostwriter. Hye Soo warns him that nothing happens by accident here so someone else is involved.
SIH’s Mission:
SIH is also doing its secret investigation on Haesong Group. SIH wants to stop Chairman Kwon’s secret mission. Their aim is to legalize firearms in Korea where everyone has the access to use guns and this will bring money and chaos. Woo Shin and SIH are after the same thing and that is to take down Chairman Kwon. Choi Tae Sang (Heo Sung Tae) is a General manager of security at Haesong Mansion and the secret agent of SIH. Tae Sang and Woo Shin work together inside the mansion and make plans. However, it was not easy for them to accomplish their mission because security is very tight there.
Overall Thoughts on Adamas Korean Drama:
Ji Sung is back with another mystery-thriller Korean drama. Undoubtedly he is one of the versatile Korean actors who always come up with challenging roles for his fans. The drama started with a lot of suspense, thriller, and twists. Ji Sung plays a dual role in this drama and it blows my mind to see how smoothly he is nailing his role.
