Main Characters:

Shim Dal Gi as Koo Ae Jin:

Ae Jin is a kind-hearted girl who strives to be friends with everyone. But, due to her appearance, she gets bullied every day. She leads a secret life on Instagram where she earns the friendship she always wanted.

Choi Bo Min as Kim Ho In:

He is the president of the class with top marks. Ho in always stays emotionless as he doesn’t want to stand out and grab others’ attention. But his life has a great secret behind his attitude.

Lee Na Gyung as Sun Mi Jin:

Mi Jin is totally anonymous person who entered into the life of Ae Jin with many mysteries hidden. Mi Jin entered the school as a transfer student but the twist here is that she looks exactly like Genie making people assume that she is the real Genie.

Heo Jung Hee as Yang Ha Neul:

Ha Neul is from a very poor livelihood, her mother struggles to make a living. Na Neul wants to stay beautiful always, she bullies and teases Ae Jin all day. She grabs everything from her and tortures her.

Secret Life:

Ae jin is a high school student whose life is filled with bad moments and depression. Everyone in school bullied and teased her due to her poor appearance. Na Neul is the one who bullies her all day and grabs everything that Ae jin. So Ae Jin lives a secret life at night as an Instagram celebrity with loads of makeup and photo editing. Her Instagram handle name is “Genie” She loves being Genie as she got a lot of friends and a true friend online who loves her unconditionally.

Ae Jin has only a single bestie in school, that is Lee Jin Sung, he is the trainee of a boy band who is waiting for the debut. They both supported and cared for each other. Suddenly Ae Jin got a message on her Instagram handle as Genie which shook her life. Someone was messaging her continuously stating that they have found her double life as Ae Jin and Genie, she was completely broken and restless. She even doubted Jin Sung was the anonymous man. Later, she found out that the anonymous message is from her class president Kim Ho In. Later, they both became friends and he helped AE Jin. He revealed that his girlfriend was Na Neul and she is the one being friends with Genie on Instagram.

Mysteries:

Ae Jin and Jin Sung were very close to each other and suddenly Jin Sung had to change the school for the debut, which broke each other. Then Ho In developed feelings for Ae Jin and started to ignore Na Neul. Na Neul tried hard to grab his attention and found that Ae jin and his boyfriend are very close, this made her restless and depressed. Then, a transfer student entered their class who looks exactly like “Genie”, everyone around the class believed she is the celebrity Genie. Ae Jin was very confused about how she looked and acts like Genie. Mi-Jin always criticizes Na Neul, the true intention of Mi Jin Imitating Genie was mysterious. Na Neul found the truth that Genie and Ae Jin are the same people and her mother died of heart disease. She was so lonely and all alone.

The End:

Mi Jin was seriously trying to find out the password of Ae Jin’s Genie Instagram account to turn everything into her side. Will Na Neul and Ae Jin turn into best friends again? How Ae Jin will tear up the ugly acting of Mi Jin? Will Ae Jin’s secret life as Genie will be revealed to the world, this is the key twist of this drama.
