Jirisan National Park is one of the largest and oldest national parks. Mountain Jiri is managed by a team of rangers who have devoted their lives to protecting the park. Not only do rangers protect the park but also try to rescue and help countless trekkers who lost there.

Jun Ji Hyun as Seo Yi Kang
Seo Yi Gang (Jun Ji Hyun) is one of the best and skilled rangers at Jiri Mountain National Park. She knows everything about Mount Jiri and her colleagues give her the nickname “Devil Seo”.
Joo Ji Hoon as Kang Hyun Jo
Kang Hyun Jo (Ju Ji-Hoon) is a rookie at Jiri Mountain National Park. Before joining as a ranger he was graduated from the military academy and an army captain.
Sung Dong Il as Jo Dae Jin
Jo Dae Jin is the head of the Haedong Branch Office. He has dedicated his whole life to saving people who lost or hurt on the Mountain.
Oh Jung Se as Jung Goo Young
Goo Young is a ranger whose motto is to take care of myself before taking care of others.

Park Rangers:
Park Ranger is a team of people who have dedicated their lives to saving the life of people who trek Mountain Jirisian and are lost in the forest. Jo Dae Jin is the head of Park Ranger he tracks the ranger’s moves from the control room with the help of maps and CCTV footage. Seo Yi Kang is the top ranger with the best knowledge in navigation, she knows, understands mountain routes when it comes to finding lost treks. Kang Hyun Jo is a rookie ranger. He is an ex-captain and graduated from the military academy. Goo Young is a ranger whose motto is to take care of myself before taking care of others. He is very good at his job. Park Il Hae (Jo Han Chul) is the team leader of rangers.
Partners:
On the very first day of the job before Hyun Jo can formally introduce himself to the head, Dae Jin gives his instructs Hyun Jo to follow Goo Young for the task. In the Mountain, he has witnessed very dangerous climbing where a female ranger Seo Yi Kang saved her colleague’s life. Hyun Jo was very impressed with her. Goo Young put them in one team and after that they both become partners. They both work together to save the lives of people who lost their trek. With their teamwork and Hyun Jo’s vision power, they save many lives.
Mystery:
Jirisian Korean drama is centered around a murder that is happening in the mountain. Many visitors visit Mountain Jiri for trekking whereas some go there to end their lives. While Hyun Jo and Seo Yi Kang are trying to figure out if a killer in the mountain is killing people or it is just a coincidence. Rangers are continuously trying to take care of Mount Jiri or the visitor however sometimes it is very dangerous for them also.
Hyun Jo’s Secret:
Hyun Jo has a secret which he hasn’t told anyone that he can see a vision that will happen in Mountain. When he was a captain in the military he encountered an incident on Mountain Jiri where he lost one of his subordinates in the forest. After that incident, he began to see unclear visions of deaths that are happening in the mountain. That’s why he believes it’s Mountain’s wish and Mountain is calling him there to save the lives.
Black Bridge Village:
All the murders that are happening in the mountain are related to Black Bridge Village. In the year 1991 people used to live there but an accident ruined the whole village. Businessmen want to open cable cars in the village but villagers are against that idea because they don’t want to live in the mountain. People were dying there one by one so everyone decide to move from there except the villager’s head. In the end, he also suicide but no one knows the reason. In the present, someone is killing people and all the victims are related to Black Bridge Village.
Life-and-Death:
Hyun Jo met an accident and after that, he was in a coma. But because of his desire to catch the murderer, he was unable to leave the mountains. He was roaming in the mountain and trying to give signals to Yi Kang. Because Yi Kang was in a wheelchair so it was very hard for her to reach Hyun Jo but still she was taking the help of Da Won (Go Min Si) she was a rookie ranger but the murderer killed her too. Yi Kang also wants to catch the murderer because she wants to save Hyun Jo and maybe he wake up.
Overall Thoughts on Jirisan Korean Drama:
Jirisan Korean drama is full of mystery and adventure. This Kdrama is very addictive from the first episode. They are showing 2018 and 2020 stories side by side so sometimes it is a little bit confusing. I’m very surprised and I didn’t expect that Seo Yi Kang will be in a wheelchair and Hyun Jo will be in a come that to in the first episode. What is the mystery behind that we all want to know, what happened with them and who is behind this accident? We have to wait for a few more episodes to find the answer to these questions.
