The Witch’s Diner Korean drama is also known as Come to the Witch’s Restaurant. How would you feel when you trust someone blindly and lose everything you have job, boyfriend, and business. Then suddenly a witch comes into your life saying that she will grant you a wish in exchange for something. Zo Hee-Ra who was a witch wants to buy Jung Jin’s Restaurant which she used to run with her mother after losing her job. Their business went down so Jung Jin’ decided to work with Zo Hee-Ra. The witch serves magical food to grant people a wish in exchange for something she wants from them.
Main Characters:
Song Ji Hyo as Zo Hee Ra
She is a witch and owned a restaurant where she cooked food to grant peoples’ wishes and asked to pay the price. The price can be anything she can ask for except money.
Nam Ji Hyun as Jung Jin
She is an employee at Witch’s Diner restaurant which was initially owned by her mother. Her life has been miserable because she was a cursed child.
Chae Jong Hyeop as Lee Gil Yong
He is a high school student and works as a part-timer at night time at witch’s Diner. He also has a secret crush on Jung Jin.
Highlights of The Witch’s Diner Korean Drama
Miserable Life:
Jung Jin is living a miserable life, she recently lost her job, her boyfriend breaks up with her, she started a business with her mother and got cheated by a neighbor, her father was terminally ill, and adding to that she meets a witch who promises to complete her wish in exchange of her restaurant. She agreed to that and wants her revenge and the next day the neighbor who cheated on her was died due to a heart attack.
Magical Food:
The witch decided to hire Jung Jin as an employee later she also hires Lee Gil Yong as a part-timer. The witch started granting people’s wish and in exchange sometimes she asked for figures, sometimes voices, and sometimes memories. Jung Jin thought this is all wrong granting people’s wishes in exchange for things precious to them is wrong. So, she decided to leave the job but when she saw people are happy instead of losing things precious to them she decided to join again.
Choice Is Yours:
Jung Jin started experiencing different things like she can read memories of people she touches, read out the ingredients from the recipe book, and tags on bottles. The witch told her she is on the path of becoming a witch but only if she decided to become one.
Cursed Child:
Jung Jin was a cursed child because she was the child of a witch’s lover. She asked for a wish to make his child miserable as her life is in exchange for becoming a witch.
Overall Thought on The Witch’s Diner Korean Drama
For me this drama is good and you can binge-watch this drama on weekends. I feel like sometimes taking revenge is not important you need to learn how to let go of things because sometimes things get worse when you thought of taking revenge.
