So Not Worth It Korean drama is based on a group of college students with different multicultural backgrounds. Se Wan (Park Se Wan) is an assistant and she is in charge of managing international students at the dormitory. The students at the dormitory are Jamie (Shin Hyun Seung), who is a U.S. citizen. Sam (Choi Young Jae) Korean-Australian citizen. Minnie (Minnie) Thailand citizen and loves to watch Korean drama. Hyun Min (Han Hyun Min) is a Korean student, so he is not eligible to stay at the international dormitory.
So Not Worth It is an interesting drama of a very different genre, that is Sitcom. Enjoy this fun-filled drama.
Main Characters:
Park Se Wan as Se Wan
She is the only South Korean who is the resident assistant of the dormitory and doing many part-time jobs for living. Se Wan extorts money from the dorm members.
Shin Hyun Seung as Jamie
Jamie is a newcomer from the US, who is very hygienic and wants privacy. He is quite attractive with his dashing looks and girls fall for him.
Choi Young Jae as Sam
Sam is a Korean-Australian student who is the youngest of all and asked to run errands by others. He is the son of the president of an Australian teokbokki global food chain.
Minnie as Minnie
Minnie is from Thai and studies korean Content. She loves watching Korean dramas and handsome guys.
Han Hyun Min as Hyun Min
Hyun Min is a Korean native and a friend of Terris. He has to travel 5 hrs to the university and secretly stays in the place of Terris in the dorm. He is a funny guy.
Carson Allen as Carson
Carson is an American student who behaves like a granny at times. She loves Korean food and she is the roommate of Minnie and Se Wan.
Joakim Sorensen as Hans
Hans is a Swedish graduate student and always follows rules. He will complain to everyone who doesn’t follow the rules.
Terris Brown as Terris
Terris is a Trinbagonian graduate student who is a friend of Hyun Min, he stays with his girlfriend often and lets Hyun Min stay in the dorm instead of him.
Highlights of So Not Worth It Korean Drama
Happy Dorm:
It is a story of different types of people from different countries in an international dorm in South Korea.Se Wan, Carson and Minnie are the 3 girls in the dorm and they are roomates.Se Wan is a South Korean and does a lot of work for a living. Carson always behaves like an old lady and her boyfriend is in the army. Minnie is a cute girl who is obsessed with Korean dramas same as us. Terris and Hans are roommates. Hyun Min is a friend of Terris who sneaks peeks into the dorm at times. Terris has a girlfriend and decides to stay with her few days. So, Hyun Min stays there instead of Terris as he comes to the university traveling 5 hrs. He secretly stays in the dorm.
Sam is the youngest in the dorm yet so handsome and mischievous. Jammie is the newcomer to the dorm and he is quite reserved. Sam and Jammie are roommates. Se Wan tricked Jammie that he broke her mobile and lets him work all day to repair her mobile. This developed friendship between them.
Mysterious Theif:
There was a series of theft in the dorm and all the things were just disappearing. The Theif was mysterious and no one can track off. Jammie had limited-edition sneakers and he gave them to Hyun Min as he was so excited seeing them. The thief stole those sneakers and Hyun Min got that back after catching the thief one night. Hans always follows rules and boasts to everyone that he knows everything about Korea and Korean culture. He gets suckered into a con scheme due to his attitude and his friends saved him.
Se Wan’s Misery:
Jammie misunderstood a siren sound as war broke signal and goes into the base and locks the door.Se Wan, Terris, and Hyun min were all there in base. The door is broken, So they all were trapped inside for a whole day. The next day, Hyun Min’s mother left his baby brother with him and goes for dating her new boyfriend. Already, Hyun Min is staying there secretly, he had a tough time taking care of his brother. A lady comes to the university in search of Se Wan, as her mother borrowed a lot of money and disappeared. Se Wan was already in misery as she does multiple jobs just for a living and now she needs to settle her mother’s debt.
Match Making:
Jammie has a slight feeling over Se Wan, Hyun Min misunderstood that Jammie has a crush on Carson and does match-making for them. Minnie and Sam fight over for a 6-day stay in the hotel. To make Jammie jealous, Se Wan goes for a blind date. Jammie and Se Wan get closer. Jammie’s secret that he is the son of a Great Hollywood actress came to the limelight and all the dorm members were surprised. Sam started to develop feelings over Minnie, at times he gets vexed hearing of long lists of Minnie’s Boyfriend.
Uncertain Life:
Se Wan’s mother visited the dorm and this made her stressed. Se Wan has decided to participate in a talent show and displays her singing talent to Jammie. She decides to get plastic surgery and Jammie strongly opposed it. At last, Hyun Min has been kicked out of the dorm and now he has nowhere to stay.
Overall Thoughts on So Not Worth It Korean Drama
This is a totally different genre, I enjoyed it a lot. A light, heart soothing, funny, friendship drama. If you want good Laughter therapy, then this is the right choice. All the actors nailed their roles perfectly. This was so enjoyable and I admired everyone in it. Except for those, artificial laughing soundtrack, everything was on point. Hyun Min’s acting was the best of the best!! I highly recommend this drama and Let’s wait for S2 for some more fun, laughter, and Love.
