Angry Mom Korean drama is the story of a mother Kang Ja (Kim Hee Sun) and her daughter Oh Ah Ran (Kim Yoo Jung). A mother who goes back to school to protect her daughter from bullies.

Main Characters:

Kim Hee Sun as Kang Ja / Jo Bang Wool

Kang Ja is the mother of teenage girl Ah Ran. After finding out that her daughter is bullying by her classmates, she became Jo Bang Wool to protect her. She is brave and good at fighting.

Kim Yoo Jung as Oh Ah Ran

Oh Ah Ran is a high school girl, she is bullied by her classmates in the school.

Ji Hyun Woo as Park Noh Ah

Park No Ah is a supportive teacher and he always tries to protect his troublemaker students.

Ji Soo as Go Bok Dong

Go Bok Dong is tough and rude from the outside, but protective and hurt from the inside. He is a kind and nice student, but his company is very bad which make him do all the bad work for them. He is a classmate of Oh Ah Ran.

Kang Ja’s Complicated Past:

When Kang Ja was in high school, she involves in many fights, she was once legendary in the fights and the most feared troublemaker at her Busan high school. She gets pregnant in her late teens, after that; she drops out of school and wants to become a responsible mother for her daughter Oh Ah Ran.

Kang Ja’s Mother Life:

Now, Kang Ja is in her thirty and her daughter is a teenager. The mother and daughter relationship was very complicated. Her daughter Ah Ran doesn’t like her ajumma look and she is ashamed of her mother. Whereas, Kang Ja always care and love her daughter.

Bully in School:

Bok Dong (Ji Soo) always threatens Ah Ran. Ah Ran and her best friend Jin Yi Gyeong (Yoon Ye Joo) were bullied in school. When Kang Ja found out that her daughter is bullied in the school, she decides to go to high school to protect her daughter. Kang Ja becomes a high school student again. Kang Ja enrolls herself in her daughter’s school with a false name “Jo Bang Woo”. She fights with them who try to bully her daughter Ah Ran. She even fights with the teachers.

Frame for Murder:

Kang Ja recognizes the gangster Dong Chil (Kim Hee Won) and she was in shock after that. Dong Chil orders Bok Dong to kill Yi Kyung, but later they frame Bok Dong for killing Yi Kyung. At the funeral of Yi Kyung Ah Ran accuses Jung Woo (Kim Tae Hoon) of killing her best friend, but nobody believes her everyone thought she lost her mind after losing her best friend.

Teacher Affair With his Student:

*Spoiler Alert* Ah Ran’s best friend Yi Kyung had an affair with her teacher Jung Woo. When Jung Woo bored with her and she told him that she is pregnant, he broke up with her and forces her to transfer to a different school. When she doesn’t agree with him, he pushed her off from the school building.*Spoiler End*

Investigation in School:

Later, when Ah Ran started going to school, she came to know that her mother is also coming to her school as a student. Ah Ran knows that there is something wrong in the library so, she decides to go there and find out the truth but Jung Woo was also there and she doesn’t know that. She manages to escape from the library. Meanwhile, she found out that there is a bigger problem within the school education systems. Kang Ja decides that she will stop the violence at school.

Kang Ja Fake Affair:

After knowing that Jung Woo is related to Yi Kyung’s death Kang Ja began to grow close with him. She even goes into his apartment to find out the truth there she noticed something, and tell Yi Kyung’s mother the news. Jung Woo threatens Ah Ran, after that she keeps her head down. Meanwhile, her mother is very determined to find out the truth so that these events never happen again.

Hidden Identity:

Kang Ja’s husband and mother-in-law don’t know that she is going to school with her daughter. Meanwhile, Park No (Ji Hyun Woo) and Bok Dong know about the secret identity of Kang Ja and Bok Dong becomes upset because he starts feeling for her. Bok Dong tells Kang Ja that he had anything to do with Yi Kyung’s death.

Crush on Ajumma:

Bok Dong had a crush and started liking Kang Ja. He always tries to protect her even though Kang Ja beat him. When Kang Ja’s husband finds about her that she is going to her daughter’s school, he was forcing her to go back to the home then Bok Dong was watching that a middle-age man forcing her. He gives him a warning and tells Kang Ja that if she needs money then ask me “I will give you money but don’t sleep them for money” Ohhh God. When he finds out that Kang Ja is the mother of Ah Ran he was very hurt.
