Captain Ri helps Se Ri in North Korea to protect her from North Korean officers. Every time he helps her in crossing the boundary problem occur in front of them. He even tells others that She is his fiancee. They start growing their feelings toward each other. Eventually, he helps her to get across the border of North Korea.

Hyun Bin as Ri Jeong Hyeok
Ri Jeong Hyeok is a handsome North Korean army captain. He ends up helping Se Ri in hiding her with the help of his men from North Korean army.

Handsome Park Kwang Beom:
Se Ri gives Park Kwang Beom (Lee Sin Young) the most handsome person award. He is a very kind personality, he speaks very little among all five army officers. The funny part he when he is in South Korea every entertainment agency gives him their card but he didn’t understand that why they are giving him cards. He looks so cute.
South Korean Drama Lover Kim Ju Meok:
Just like us Kim Ju Meok (Yoo Su Bin) also loves to watch South Korean dramas and his favorite drama is the stairway to Heaven, his favorite actress is Choi Ji Woo. Se Ri told him that if he ever comes to South Korean in the future, then she will arrange his date with Choi Ji Woo. Ju Meok helps his other North Korean officers what Se Ri is saying because he is the only one who understands South Korean hand gestures.
Cute and Innocent Geum Eun Dong:
Geum Eun Dong (Tang Joon Sang) is young among all five North Korean officers he is very kind and pure. Se Ri told him that after reunification I will give you hundred million won or Eight kilograms of corn, but he chooses corn over money. For me, the emotional moment is when Se Ri gives her credit card to them when they came to South Korea and she told them to buy whatever they want to buy. Eun Dong buys a school uniform because he could not afford that in North Korea. Even though her biological brothers are the devil, she still finds four brothers who care for her and protect her in every situation. Every episode of Crash Landing on You Korean drama is worth watching.
Ri Jeong’s Life South Korea:
But after some circumstances, they eventually again meet but this time they meet in South Korea. But this time Se Ri also protecting captain Ri and he was living with her in her house. Ri Jeong Hyeok came to South Korea to protect Se Ri from Cho Cheol Gang (Oh Man Seok) who came to South Korea to kill Se Ri. When Captain Ri’s father knows that his son is in South Korea then he sends other Five North Korean officers to bring him back.
Second Lead:
This is the third time I’m watching Gu Seung Jung (Kim Jung Hyun) drama, but the time is in the second lead his previous dramas are School 2017 and Welcome to Waikiki, he was in the lead role in these dramas. Seo Dan (Seo Ji Hye) I have seen her in the 49 Days but I personally like her in this drama and her look is completely different from that drama I was not able to recognize her. Seung Jung is a con artist in this drama. He cons Se Ri’s younger brother and hiding from him, he goes to North Korea, and there he meets Seo Dan who is the fiancee of captain Ri. Then they meet several times and start to fall in love. You have to watch this drama in order to know what happens to them.
*Spoiler Alert* I love the second lead couple also Seo Dan (Seo Ji Hye) and Gu Seung Jung (Kim Jung Hyun) but hate the director for killing Gu Seung Jung and want the happy ending for the second lead also. I feel sad for Seo Dan that when she actually falls in love with someone the director kills that person. *Spoiler end*
Captain Ri’s Neighbors:
Through this Korean drama, I came to know about the people of North Korea and their culture. They are cute and welcoming people. Even though Captain Ri’s neighbor doesn’t know that Se Ri is from South Korea they still love and protect her. The way of living is completely different in North Korean. The village ahjummas are gossipy and they have a huge crush on Ri Jung Hyunk. Especially my personal favorite ahjumma was Wol Suk (Kim Sun Young) for her amazing drinking way.
Finally They Meet in Switzerland:
After very pain and difficulty, they eventually meet in Switzerland. They met in Switzerland before also, but they are not aware at that time. Am I the only one who finds them cute together? It’s too sad that Se Ri and Jung Hyunk meet with each other only for 2 weeks a year, even though they get a house together in Switzerland. But personally, I want 1 or 2 episodes of them together in Switzerland.
Emotional Scene:
For me, the emotional scene was when Jung Man Bok (Kim Young Min) gave Ri Jung Hunk’s brother’s watch to him. It was very emotional for me. I was crying like stupid. I felt sorry for Man Bok who is under Major Cho’s (Oh Man Suk) he even felt guilty for killing captain Ri’s brother. He feels more guilty when he knew that Major Cho wants to kill captain Ri.
Cameo Apperance:
Kim Soo Hyun’s made his cameo appearance in Crash Landing On You Korean drama. Have you seen It’s Okay To Not Be Okay Korean drama?
Overall Thoughts on Crash Landing On You:
I watched this drama in April 2020 and believe me, I was not able to sleep for 1 week. Crash Landing On You Korean drama is one of the best Rom-com Korean drama of 2019-2020. This is my first drama of Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, and they look perfect together. This drama is the perfect combination of romance, suspense, and comedy. If you are someone who wants to watch the perfect Rom-Com drama then go for it, Highly Recommend this drama. This is one of those Korean dramas that you can watch again and again, you will not be bored.
